Ad's which really get on my tits are the ones on 4OD.
It's not so much the adverts themselves, but the message that accompanies the adverts.
Are these magical adverts which don't use any bandwidth, unlike the program which needs to buffer?
I understand that 4OD sells advert space to make money, and I'm all for that, since it allows them to show show thousands of hours of quality comedy programs for free, but what really annoys me is the bullshit message they show, how they act like they're doing me a favour by showing the adverts.
If the message said "to continue to be able to show you quality programs for free, we need to play some adverts from our sponsors" then I wouldn't mind at all, but it's the apparent lie that's acting like it's doing me a favour that really annoys me.
But maybe I'm wrong, maybe the adverts can be streamed instantly unlike the the program which needs to be loaded up from some archive, I don't know enough about streaming technology to be sure, but it appears to be bullshit to me.
If someone knows more about how these things work, then I'll happily be corrected.

How about instead of loading some stupid adverts, why don't you load my program straight away so I won't need "saving from boredom"?To save you from boredom, here is a short ad break while your content loads.
