I do this all the time, thank you digital game play.

Last 'old game' I played was Masters of Orion 2.
Great game.
Didn't know anyone else still played MOO2. Awesome game still today.

Oldest game I've played recently is probably Fable (XB). The oldest game I own I think is Legend of Legaia (PS1) which I will one day start up again so that I can finally beat it.

I'm regularily playing older games, because the number of new games coming out that interest me, is rather low.

Last one i played in the recent days was Dungeon Master 2, and i'm in the process of filtering my downloaded Duke Nukem 3D map-pack, so that can play it again with a buddy (it's pretty much the only multiplayer FPS that i still like - bored to death by all other MP-FPS by now).

I've actually been on a severe Castlevania binge recently. I'm playing Symphony of the Night (just made it to the inverted Castle) and Super Castlevania IV (just got past the clock tower.) Castlevania is a fantastic series of games. I'm surprised that It took me so long to get to them! I gotta say, I do have a lot of remixes from SCIV and SOTN on my iPod now... I hear the little reprise of Simon's Theme when you beat a level in my head whenever I do anything triumphant. What a great game.
They are great games, aren't they? I'm lucky enough to own many Castlevania soundtracks including SCIV. I always liked playing SCIV when everyone else was asleep and I turned off all the lights in the basement and just watched the opening scene.

First of all, I too am excited to play the new Golden Sun! I have been waiting years for a new one. Just a few days ago I finished replaying Legacy of Kain: Defiance.
....damn, that makes me want to play the Soul Reaver series all over again. I'm so angry they just ended the story RIGHT THERE and yet, it's fitting too.

I'm in a never-ending perennial love-affair with Arcanum. I've been monkeying with custom backgrounds and schematics recently.
I was playing Front Mission 3 and Vandal Hearts 2, but those have been on hiatus for about a year due to time constraints.

Replaying? I don't think I've ever gone for more than a week without booting up Morrowind at least once.

Other than that, you can still occasionally catch me online in Battlefield 2, or if there is a LAN party BF1942, Starcraft, and Marathon Infinity are all popular multiplayer smackdowns.

Where I get smacked.

Oh well, it's all in good fun. I've been hankering for some classic Diablo, too.

With the non linear way the series is with the time travel it could work for an ending but I want to see how things work out with the major developments that happen at the very end.

Nothing lately. I re-started GTA: San Andreas for what would have been the sixth time about 4 months ago but I lost interest as soon as I got to San Fierro for the fifth time in my life. I've had enough of that game.

It's been, at least for me, replaced by GalCiv2...still, sometimes MOO2 is great to play.

True, true. Although since that game Tony Jay has died and no one else will give the tentacle horror (It's been a while so I forget what it's called) as great a voice.

In anticipation of the new Golden Sun game coming out for the DS, I've started replaying the second GBA game, as well as starting to replay Fire Emblem: the Sacred Stones just for the heck of it.

What I want to know is, has anyone else given in to the hankering to dust off an old copy of anything, and if so, what?
My friend, roughly 90% of my gaming is "old games" and about 90% OF the 90% is "replaying" either completed and restarted, or paused and resumed.

Yeah, they would totally have to make up some plot thing to explain the difference in voice, since no one is going to be able to replicate that. It was so distinctive.

I revisit Deus Ex every now and again, and I plan to play Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines once I've figured out how to get the game to run properly on a 64-bit system.
