But no one ever has a one night stand as part of a biological process - if it was for that, they'd do a one night stand to get preggo... but they don't.

It's never just sex. There's always something to it. Whether it's for fun, procreation, or any other reason emotional or physical, humans don't simply do it instinctively.

One could argue that emotions "trick" us into acting instinctively, to which I'd say your point is irrelevant because either way, perceptually we don't do it for frank, biological purposes.

Yeah, we do f*ck instinctively. But we also are (sometimes) smart enough to use contraceptives so some stupid baby doesn't screw everything up for everyone. It is in our genes to bone anything that walks on 2 legs, and the fact that it feels awesome sure doesn't hurt.

Sex is always just sex. Love and sex are mutually exclusive. The person you love, you will spend the rest of your life with. It is on an emotional level. Sex is purely physical. Sure you can have sex with the person that you love, but you are not having sex with them because you love them. You are having sex with them because you are attracted to them.
