Well I am not a fan of multiplayer, so I'm more or less glad they haven't put any in. The more they focus solely on the single player, the happier I'll be.

But to answer your question, I'm sure it would be possible. How enjoyable it'd be, is anyone's guess.

I think that multiplayer could very easily ruin skyrim as the elder scrolls series esentialy single player. an mmo would be out of the question because all it would take would be a couple of idiots to ruin the story by buting in to your quest plus things could easily get crowded
the co-op idea sound possible if someone who join was like a companion but i still think it would suck. However if you could get like a seperate disk with skyrim that contained like a couple of multiplayer dungeons to explore and maybe an arena mode you could import your character then set a difficulty for the dungeon and just go for a little bit of questing in a selection of dungeons and let people join in i think that would be great because it wouldnt screw with the story or even atempt to be part of it just a kind of showing off skills characters loot and a little fun

I think this is the best idea so far

The Thing Is
1. you want to experience everything a game has to ofer
2. multiplayer or co-op wouldnt work as part of the elder scrolls experience
3. why nag and nag for something like multiplayer in skyrim which is ment to be souly single player when you can go out and buy an rpg perfectly suited for multiplayer like dark souls

Leave Skyrim alone leave all the elder scrolls alone i notice a lot of people who want multiplayer arent long time fans or dont pay a large amount of atention to what the elders rolls is about

to most fans of the game its not just another great RPG to pick up and play this is the freaking elder scrolls love it or leave it
