Is Skyrim promoting bestiality?

It is fictional, but the idea of it remains rather repulsive.
Mainly because Argonians and Khajits are the least appealing in sexual terms.

Bottom-line: Needs moar anthro, then I'm fine with it. With the current status it remains disgusting to me.

So apparently you can marry in Skyrim, this news is old now, you can marry same sexes too! This news is also old now. But has anyone stopped to think about the animal races marrying humans? :/ Now of course I'd love to demonstrate my male ego by playing as a Tiger, therefore the Khajiit perfectly represents what I'm about But there's something a little strange about marrying a female lizard (argonian) or heck even a human species :/ Will I ever get used to this? Will you ever get used to this? What do you think?

(Lets not get all serious, I really don't care that much, just thought it would be an entertaining topic)

I like to keep games firmly separate from reality. It's all fantasy, and not promoting anything. The marriage of different races is completely normal in The Elder Scrolls universe. Imagine what the Khajiit would say, if they played a game which allowed cats to be allowed as pets! Anarchy would spread across Skyrim, and the rest of Cyrodiil!

Well, if you remember, in Morrowind you could occasionally find Argonians and Khajiits in slave cells, and House Telvanni actively sold Khajiits as slaves, so Khajiits are probably accustomed to slavery by now.

There is nothing wrong with some interspecies love, as long it is consensual of course.

On thing that kept bothering me as I played Oblivion was the lack of intermediate races. It's clear in the game that orc/human relations can produce offspring, so to me it's only safe to assume that there are other possible interacial combinations that can generate life. So howcome we never get to see a green elf or a human with horns and whiskers (that would be the result of one hell of a party, let me tell ya).

I hope Skyrim handles this aspect with more diligence than it's predecessors. This and adding children. And fat people. So I can shoot fat dunmer kids with silly hair style.

What bothered me in Oblivion was the lack or racism.

Anthropomorphic people (i.e.: Argonians and Khajits) are sentient beings capable of granting consent; that's the heart of the issue, not "they have fur." Sexualizing animal-like things certainly seems odd to me, sure, but I've never thought of Argonians or Khajit like that- and I am quite a fan of the series.

Their animal form is actual how the Dunmer (Dark Elves to you uneducated charlatans) really justify enslaving them. Suggesting that love between sentient beings due to physical difference or, to call it as it is, race is something we like to call racism, which is why it's so awkward to condemn it- not to mention the people opposed to them + skinned folk, which is what we like to call Race Mixing and is perfectly OK.

Perhaps this is a good test to see if someone's really free of discrimination, or only hops aboard the popular "I'm not a racist" band-wagons like Old South'ers did the "Blacks are inferior" band-wagon.




EDIT: To make it really clear here; sex with animals iRL is against the law (and most people's moral code) because, as stated earlier on, they are animals incapable of granting consent (it's also INCREDIBLY unhygienic and can very easily wind up with the poor animals getting hurt). A Khajit is a person capable of making their own decisions and generally the same size as the other races and in no danger of being horribly damaged during regular intercourse with them, even if they are often impairing their judgement via Skooma.

It's very obviously not bestiality since the non human races you can marry are sentient on a level with the human races and anyway I think that a thread that asks everyone how excited they are about Skyrim and how awesome they think that it will be is far more preferable to a thread that enquires about non existant bestiality content.
