I second this, I wouldn't word it as harsh, but I still agree. Anyway if you take showers regularly (which I hope you do) then just switch to head and shoulders. It doesn't smell bad adn you'll be clean while your grandpa is happy. But I do agree that your grandpa comes into your room at night. Just tell him that if he buys you head & shoulders that you'll wash your hair with it. SIMPLE. No need to make a thread saying that being clean is taking away your freedom and social liberty.hazabaza1 said:Just wash your fucking hair man. Jesus.
A, pretty much. On bad days (I mean a thousand things go wrong and I am incapable of even touching my head to clean it) it approaches B in terms of severity.Abandon4093 said:
Why don't you just get you Granddad to buy you the Shampoo and then you use it? Seriously it doesn't take long at all, just do it when you normally go for a shower...atleast i hope you actually shower.AtheistGuy said:Snip
.....really? You can't be bothered to maintain your own hygiene? Your grandfather is doing you a favor by ignoring(what I can only assume) is a baseless reason why you refuse to maintain your appearance. smh at your actions.AtheistGuy said:So to make a long story short, I have dandruff. This dandruff bothers my grandfather (Who I live with). I don't want to use any shampoo for it since it, quite honestly, doesn't bother me in the least. So he's taken it upon himself to actually put some drops on my head to get rid of it. The problem? I'm asleep when he does it.
SO it's a pretty straightforward question. Is this acceptable?
Actually there is something he could do about it.....he could wash his hair?Donnie Restad said:It's kind of creepy, but I don't think you can do anything about it. It's not like you can tell off a grandpa.
My point wasn't the specifics of my examples, but that the grandfather in question has taken it upon himself to sneakily alter something about the OP's 'personal choice in appearance' and the posters in this thread implicitly endorsed it.Abandon4093 said:A personal choice in appearance and flaking all over someone's house... =/=TheGauntman said:I'm appalled that the bulk of the replies have been "yeah your grandfather is wrong, but you should do something about your dandruff".
If the OP had long hair that bothered his grandfather, and the grandfather crept in and cut it off during the night, would you all say "yeah that was wrong, but you should have cut your hair". Or if the OP had a favourite t-shirt that the grandfather didn't like, and he threw it away while the OP slept, would you all say "yeah that was wrong, but you should have got rid of the t-shirt already".
I'm not saying whether it's right or wrong of the OP to retain his dandruff (I have a mild case and damn right I use anti-dandruff shampoo), but if he's okay with it then that's good enough for me.
I'm appalled you compared the two.
This and, my take on it. If i'm paying for you to live there, you follow what little rules I ask or you can GTFO. Personal Hygiene is one. If I ever had a roommate that flaked dandruff all over the couch and other places, they'd get asked to fix it. Even if I had to provide the shampoo. I'd help them in whatever way possible, but if they had the attitude you did about it, i'd give them a week to pack up and find another place to live. It's disgusting. Stop thinking about yourself for one second and start thinking about how your nasty flaky hair and/or bad personal hygiene effects others around you.The Cool Kid said:Oh the hilarity. Thanks for keeping the stereotype alive!
