It is not an insult to state the obvious. If you think it is an insult to not know much about women, maybe you should learn more about them before making ridiculous statements about why women do things.

If you do not understand that sending unsolicited dick pics is a form of harassment, maybe you do need to talk about it with someone. You should not be entitled to impose that upon others, and just as with any other crime, the person that was imposed upon has a right to address the person doing so. The perpetrator is not entitled to " hide" from the public after doing these things to people. If people do not want others to find out what they do, don't do these things to others.

There is no agreement in "privacy" when you send people things they did not ask for. Once they send the pictures to someone without that person agreeing to keep them private, the person receiving them is under no obligation to do so. They can give them to the police, their boss, their neighbors, or news reporters if they so wish at that point.

I looked it up and in Finland you'd have to report dick pics as harassment which is "practically never" done. Telling mom/SO actually sounds like a fun way to deal with it especially since it seems to work. It's probably easier than the legal process too.

Why do I need to say anything?
Since you're the one who keeps talking to me to tell me you won't talk to me or you don't need to talk to me, I guess you need to say something in order to feel like you're winning a fight, either against me as your specific enemy or against public perception of your arguments.
in my penultimate reply I made it clear that this is pointless but you kept putting words in my mouth
Got it. Models are whores because you watched a documentary on hand models, then.
.

It's not me carrying this shit show on, this is just a reply to set things straight.

So what do you imagine I should tell the doctor?
Tell him that you believe appearing in an advertisement is the same thing as sending someone a dick pic and that appearing in an advertisement is the same thing as soliciting dick pics.

Tell him you do not perceive a difference between appearing in a clothing advertisement and providing sexually explicit imagery of your genitals.

Tell him you think a model specifically hopes to make you masturbate.

This reminds me of the time that a woman got a rape threat so she called the kid's parents. It's absolutely hilarious.

EDIT: Hive mind? Back in my day we called it "Having an unpopular opinion." I mean I disagree with that thread where the majority of posters seem to say that having loli porn is ok. Does that mean I'm not just an outlier but that I'm actually fighting against the hive mind?

The mere visage of my penis is glorious, and I'm sure my coworkers, friends and family would be proud and congratulate me if she did that.

Unfortunately, I don't send dick pics. Women don't deserve to see it without putting any effort on their part.

Yes. Anyone regardless of gender should get their comeuppance if they send unwanted sexual provocation toward an unsuspecting victim.

Well, since I've been inundated with replies to this(as in, I now have an entire page of my "quoted" part of my inbox on this), I'm just going to use this as a general reply.

I will no longer go against the apparent hivemind of these forums out loud. It's honestly too much trouble to voice your opinion without being attacked anymore once a thread has attracted one section of morals/politics/etc and you do not hold the same values/opinion/etc.

Call me a raging man-child that quit in response or whatever the insult of the week is, but I'm personally done with this topic. Too much annoyance for too little gain. Much like anyone that says this should be the new standard.
Have to say, I'm pretty darn amused at the irony of this post. Because not so long ago, -- not so long ago at all, -- *I* was the one who was "going against the hivemind" of this forum in a certain particular megathread. In fact, I distinctly remember you, Redryhno, being there.

I can only imagine the mockery and ridicule I would've received if I had've made a post like this in that thread.

How does one get in position to be sent dick picks anyway?
Step 1.) Sign up for any online dating platform with a female user name.
Step 2.) Wait.
Step 3.) Dicks.
Aw jeez, I imagine the result would be something like this:

I've explained how it is at least four times. I'll explain a fifth time.

You can't go around destroying people because they did something inappropriate. That is a crime.
Though I disagree with your understanding of the law, your understanding of the law and Ms. Sears's reactions are not what I am talking about to you. I am talking about the perspectives you seem to have based on the things you said, and given that you have quite explicitly said what I listed without any need for inference on my part, I only say you seem to have them because I am still holding out hope you are just trolling, just trying to get a rise out of me, when you say such things.

Further, I think you must know that's what I'm talking about, since you explicitly asked me to provide you with such a list, so I do not understand what you hope to gain with this kind of deflection unless it's to try to trick me into changing the subject, which I have no interest in. Whether you interpret my understanding of your statements as deliberate insults or not, the perspective you describe remains troubling, and I will still exhort you to speak with a professional in the hopes of getting better. No doubt my cheering for you is beyond useless and apt to make you refuse to even consider it just to spite me, but this is the only avenue I have to convince you, so.

That's basically slut shaming.
No, a slut is someone who has sex with some arbitrary number of consenting partners. Ms. Sears did not ask for the pictures she is being sent, so her harassers are harassers rather than sluts.

I fail to see the connection. Or is exposing harassment the same as shaming someone for their sex life now?

Given your solution appears to be for women to lock themselves away from social and business interaction on the web (which has a real-world parallel), I'm even more inclined to advocate my relatives fight. That's really no way to live.
What is wrong with you?

Are you some sort of parody account? Your not even using your real name right now.

It is common sense to not use your real details unless you can handle the attention, unless you plan to lobotimize every internet user on earth you teach common sense safety to your friends and family and you do the same when it comes to walking the streets at night (the irl parallel), your not living in the real world if you think that's something that can be changed anymore than preventing all crime.

and I'm sure people will be able to get by not using there real details on random forums.

Actually, I am.

For the record, the argument that you don't use your real name online unless you're ready to deal with harassment reads an awful lot like "hey, she was asking for it."

I doubt that

Just to know if you really are a parody account do you actually believe that telling someone to take preventative measures as the same as blaming them for the crime?

You doubt my real name is Amy? What grounds to you have to base that?

Saying that you don't do something unless you're willing to deal with someone else's illegal actions is not the same as saying they should take precautions. The former is blaming. The second is not. It sure looks like you're more concerned with going after the victim than with going after the perpetrator.

That would have been easy for you to do, you could have verified your real identity with a link, but you didn't so your still a hypocrite and I don't want you to, I may not like how you do things but I stand by my point that you should be careful with your details and I'm assuming you talk in politically charged topics where emotions run high.

That's like telling someone "you could get hurt doing a dangerous job" or "be careful carrying such large amounts of money or you could get robbed" is a bad thing. Telling people the potential consequences of there actions is something sensible, not something you tag with a rubbish internet logic.

Something Amyss is only a hypocrite if she said that she and all women should be posting their personal information on all sites under any and all circumstances. She did not say that. She said that women should be allowed to fight back rather than tuck tail and run in silence, as you insist they must.
