Optionally, there's one quote where hanson describes the device as something that absorbs void energy (which the zerg use, and which the xel'naga utilized to an extent.) so it does technically work.

finally saw it and It looked really fake, I mean it looked like something off spore!
And it can't have been a prototype trailer because prototypes in the early stages don't get leaked!

Please, dear GOD let this be fake. I don't want this to be a cross-over point for the series, the Zerg don't need redemption. They need to be the awesome monstrosities that we know and love.

such a silly ending
i see a LOT of people saying "bad ending" and i want to know
why is it bad? it doesnt seem like something i ever expected so its not unoriginal.

seriously, why are so many people saying it's a bad or silly ending?

honestly, i liked it
It isn't the story that is bad.

People just don't like it when you change everything they know.

Most people I know that didn't played Starcraft: Broodwar said the story is pretty good, most people that did says the story is bad.

Just like Warcraft 3 at first I went *#^$* when I found out Orc isn't the bad guys, then after few years I went back to play it and think it was pretty good (for the most part).

By the way I think people's "Hollywood ending" means anything that ends with good guys win.
But think about it there is only two of one side that can win. Bad or Good.

and I don't think LoV is going to end badly because that means everyone will get killed by Dark Voice.

exactly. Kerrigan said it could go either way. And after mengsk's douchebaggery it's satisfying seeing him get killed (hopefully by decapitation.)

Activision claimed copyright... I can't see the video, but it's clear that it's truly IS the Starcraft 2 expansion's ending.
Claim copyright doesn't means it must be real.
Just like if you make a game called Starcraft 3 activision can claim copyright and remove it even it is not real.

What else can you do expect give speeches? Or cutscene will be a 2 frame on click a button and the hero dies.

Which movie, novel doesn't do it?
StarWar did it.
Pretty everything real time have to do it. Or else it is just a short cutscene of people dieing.

Anyway she said Zerg can whether be the destroyer of life or something else. How does that makes them "noble"? Destroyer of lifes is pretty much what they are right now. She just says they can decide they own fate under her watch.

essentially she is dropping an A bomb because its just got to be free, ok I suppose its more of killer bees since they havent really characterized the mass of zerg as anything but consuming monsters, that sometimes make zombies.

yes alot of things do that but the way the cinema does that is massively standard, I swear I have seen that almost shot for shot in something else

starcraft and brood war were my first two games ever, and i still think that Starcraft 2 is interesting and provides more depth to the universe

I really hope it is Rayner that kill Mengsk, but he used his bullet on Tychus.

That was pretty dumb.

So Blizzard go through all this "yaaay, we cured Kerrigan so she's free of her infestation and all that stuff", only to bring her back into zerg-form again? WHY? And this seems more like the ending to all of StarCraft 2, considering Kerrigan's all like "boo-hoo, the zerg will leave you in peace now". And they don't even mention the hybrids. Aren't they the "big baddies"? Did they... leave the protoss to fight the hybrids to send off Kerrigan to fight Mengsk? How... I... what?!

This is just dumb. I hope this isn't real.
It's sad that I have to reply to you using spoilers.
Actually, in Starcraft 2's secret mission, it's hinted that Mengsk might actually be helping the hybrids indirectly. He has a hidden black-ops lab chock full of Zerg, Protoss and hybrids.
If Mengsk has that sort of connection, it actually stands to reason that he would be the one to try to kill Kerrigan for the Hybrids.

Still...the "Back in Infested-Form" Kerrigan directly contradicts the ending of Wings of Liberty. Unless they're going to do something really weird and give us TWO forms of Kerrigan

Given how quickly Acti-Blizzion took the video down, there's a good chance that was real.
Also, considering the average time of production (to write and create a movie clip like that) vs the time spent since Blizzard announced that they had no idea what the story for Heart of the Swarm was going to be, I'd guess that this was a genuine potential storyboard.

Even if they're back to square one, at least now they will be able to gauge the feedback from the fans who saw it.

Thanks to the guy who told me it was on Kotaku. Was about to complain how I couldn't find it anywhere.

But yeah, dam. Definitely legit. Wonder how Blizzard will respond to this.

One thing that's been kind of not touched on here is that we've only seen a small part of the Zerg - the swarms. Is that all Zerg are? Surely, there have to be some other types of Zerg out there, stuff that isn't so keen on the pew-pew-bash-bash. Take the Cerebrates, for example - they were there to think of solutions on a smaller scale, and are intelligent. Can't they have some sort of role to play? What of the Zerg sample in the Hyperion, which was noted to be evolving at a rapid pace? Couldn't the Zerg eventually evolve some sort of new form that isn't like the rest of the swarm? Have we ever seen anything from the Zerg that isn't completely war-oriented?

Consider whether or not the hyper-evolution of the Zerg may yield some form of culture - and whether or not all the Zerg will follow this evolutionary path. It's likely that there are a large number of Zerg under the control of the Dark Voice, and that's going to be cool too since the Zerg will have quite a civil war on their hands.

This is the real deal. The voice of Tricia Helfer was clearly audible.

Anyways, I liked it. May now actually pay for the damn thing once it's released, actually, which I didn't even plan on doing. One thing is that they reveal the ending and another that they tell you how it got there. Besides, Starcraft is not exactly swimming in good plot anyways.

Oh, and by the way, everyone dies! Ok, no.

Laters...
