Someone i know has been dating a bloke, has been living with him (and therefore sharing a bed) for about 2 years but they have have not had sex. neither of them believe in no sex before marriage and she has tried to instigate things many times but every time he has said no.
what are your views on this? would you be OK in this situation or not?

I myself am celibate (though not for marriage or religious purposes) so I can't comment. Though its a bit strange that they share a bed yet have no sexual contact.

Keep in mind that "sex" in this case may mean something very specific, or it may mean something very general.

I'd want to know why he is abstaining. No sex is forgivable. No communication about why sex is being withheld means that I would give the other person an ultimatum - talk about it, or be single.

Without knowing the reason for no sex and also the definition of "sex" in this case I can't make a judgement. It could possibly be a very valid reason. Obviously it's at least valid to him given how long he's waited already.

There could be any number of reasons he doesn't want to have sex with her.

It's possible he doesn't want to have sex with her because he might be gay, using her as his beard.
Or it could just be that he doesn't want to have sex with her because he may not be attracted to her anymore.
Or maybe he's self-conscious about himself.
