No, it's perfectly normal to have emotions over fiction, if anything that proves that it's good quality and that you have a soul.

Any medium typically sets out to evoke some emotion in the audience, so nah you're good. What was it you watched?

... WTF are you talking about?

1: You haven't even told us what anime it is. You have given NO information whatsoever about what you're talking about.
2: Why would having an emotional response to something intended to make you feel emotional be wrong?

Yes! How dare you respond in a, I presume, entirely appropriate manner to the emotional stimuli being presented to you as a combined result of in-depth story-telling, rich and fulfilling characters, and emotionally stirring plot contruction! For shame, for shame....

What he said, basically.

There's definitely been plenty of times when a piece of fiction has made me feel sad or happy or some other emotion, whether it was a book or a film or a game or whatever.

It's seems to have impaired your grammatical judgment. Take a few breaths, sit back, and edit the post.

You might consider adding a few details. It helps establish context for others to identify and relate. Otherwise you'll only get generalizations and scathing remarks.

It sounds like what you're asking is "Is it wrong to respond emotionally to anime?", in which case, no you shouldn't give such a shit about what other people think.

If you like anime, but it bothers you, you're just gonna have to deal.

Is that an empty poll?

And no, it's not wrong to feel emotionally connected to fiction of any format. If something fictional makes you feel strongly about something, then generally it's doing it's job*.

On that note; even when something in a fictional setting makes me feel those strong emotions, I tend not to let them show. Some sort of restraint mechanism activates inside my mind. Is that wrong? :p

* - I won't say 'good', because there are a lot of people that make up emotions when watching-slash-reading the Twilight franchise...

No, it is not wrong to feel emotion for characters. Their sickness is a plot device and if it didn't effect you it would be pointless. Also, no offence but the grammar in your post was terrible. It should have been:
Ok I just saw an anime called A little snow fairy sugar*, and one of the people, from what I can tell, is dying from an unknown cause and I feel sad about this. Is that wrong?

*can be in quotation marks or italics but does not have to be.

Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Is there right? Is there wrong?
No.

Whether it is right or wrong is entirely for you to decide, or, as humans are not special and have no rights, for someone else to decide and force on you.

So unless somebody holds a gun to your head and tells you to accept that it is or is not wrong, the decision is yours.

No. I cry all the time over stuff like that.

Then again I am an emotional wreck. I still flip out over Banshee from the X-Men's death.

Pretty much. There'd be no point in having anything even vaguely emotional in fiction if this weren't the case. In fact, fiction would be pointless if we felt nothing over it.

If you are feeling strong emotions, then the author succeeded in his/her writing. I do it all the time (But you wont see me discussing it IRL :) )
