This is in part response to the topic about which series you existence and part response to reading the comments on the Mass Effect or Fallout series. Just because you didn't like something doesn't mean you can deny it's existence. I don't like Half-Life. I admit is exists. I don't like Bioshock. I admit it exists. The same goes for saying it doesn't count in it's series. Fallout 3 is part of the Fallout series. The star wars new trilogy is part of the Star Wars canon. By saying it doesn't is slapping George Lucas in the face, if you really like star wars that much why slap George Lucas?

So, if you fall into this category in my opinion you are an elitist. And no one wants to be an elitist right?

Anyway, I'm done complaining now.

EDIT: To make this a tiny bit less of a rant thread give your opinions on what people who the above applies to. I thought this would come along with territory but apparently not.

Um...no discussion. Well, I have one comment:
I hate manga fans that are like this. I know you can like manga over anime, but anime is still there to give a shot every once in a while. Anime fans who hate dubs aren't really all that bad...I can understand a bit.

Yeah, sorry but you really did make just a rant thread.

Ummm, I think it may have been a joke. That or just a different way of saying "name the parts of a seris you love that you hate".

I hated it when all the Sheik fangirl tards were argueing that SSBM was not canon when saying that Sheik was a girl. This ruined all there shitty Link X Sheik homoerotic fanfic fantasies. God damn I hate fangirls.

Self explanatory? HaYOOOOO!

Just kidding, I rather enjoyed the parts that didn't feature Hayden Christensen. Plus I love Liam Neeson and Samuel L. Jackson.

I don't deny that I-III exist, but they sure as hell suck.

Besides the music and fight scenes, of course.

I couldn't have put that any better myself. I can kinda understand not liking something, but denying it's existence is just ridiculous and really doesn't make it go away.

Being an elitist is about being arrogant and looking down upon those who don't understand or don't measure up to expectations in some forum (yes, I meant forum, not form) or another. I am an elitist about a LOT of things and I am not in the least embarassed about that.

Denying the existance of something is just a way for someone to cope with something they dislike when it is compared to something they loved. I don't see any reason to get worked up either way about it. It's just an odd form of denial and ultimately meaningless.

There are lots of things that I'd love to deny, like the Matrix 2/3, Ewoks, Gungans, Shia LeBouef, David Jaffe, Cliffy B., Nathan Drake, Cole McGrath and all kinds of other things that do a disservice to their respective realm, but it doesn't change anything for me, and it certainly doesn't change anything for you if I did start denying it.

So why all the fuss needing a thread?

If you apply logic to what you just ranted about you look a bit silly, by saying a movie or game doesn't exist, you are saying it does. (unless it doesn't actually exist but then you have nothing to rant about)

It's just a way of saying you really hate part of something you love/like.

Don't take everything so literal. Chill.

Of course you can't deny an object or idea's existence, as long as their are people that do believe in it. Since reality is perception, and you are how other people perceive you, you are subject to the reality of your observers. You can, however, attempt to remove that object/idea from your daily life, which works with almost everything.
Except for fucking pop music. I hate it and it won't go away!!! YAARRRG!!!

Uhhhh... okay. I think that topic was more of a joke than anything else. It was about things you didn't like in a movie series or game series that should never have been done. I think you are going a little way overboard with this. I'm pretty sure elitism had nothing to do with that thread.

Also: Discussion?

I admit it. The dungeon crawler known as Grandia Xtreme exists as part of the series.

I DO like Star Wars. Nay, I LOVE Star Wars.

And that is why I have to slap George Lucas in the face. Because he sowed the seeds of a story and allowed others into his playground, many with more talent and a few with less, and let them play with his little seeds of story.

Then he anally raped them, stole their good works and claimed that none of what they created ever happened.

Aww come on, Episode III wasn't bad. It was definitely the best of the prequels. I throughly enjoyed it.

I think it was just meant as a joke. You can't exactly deny a movie or a game exists if the next time you walk into Best Buy or HMV, its sitting on the shelf. You'd need to have seen/played it to know it sucks as well.

As Michael Winner once (infuratingly) said: "Calm down dear!"

And now to ruin my credibility among Star Wars fans:

I actually liked the prequels. The only thing that really annoyed me was Jar-Jar.
