Top Gun

Goose: "Ma'am, The defense department regrets to inform you that your sons are dead because they were stupid."

Patton

Patton: "No poor bastard ever won a war by giving his life for his country. He won it by making some other poor bastard give his life for his country!

Another one from saints row.

*After a fight with katanas, protagonist on the ground, enemy standing over him*
Enemy:"Did you really think you could match my skill?"
Protagonist:"Nope, I'm gonna cheat."
*Pulls out gun*
*Bang!*

At least that's how I remember it. It's been awhile and my memory's a bit fuzzy.
Remember Indiana Jones? The guy gives a 30 second long demonstration of his skill with a blade and Indy just caps him. I cant remember which movie that was in. I think it was the last crusade...

Yes, I love that part!

I remember hearing somewhere that it wasn't planed, Harrison Ford had a cold at the time they were filming. They had a big fight scene planed, and he had forgotten about that part. He just pulled out his gun and shot, and they decided to keep it in. Then again this something I heard from some guy, so who knows if it's true.

I guess I wouldnt be surprised if that were true. Being an actor I know how these things can happen and turn out to be for the better.

For instance I *heard* that the scene in the dark knight when the joker blows up the hospital had a screw up. When the explosion stops and the joker turns and does that "Is that all?" look and fiddles with the trigger, that was actually an explosive charge that didnt go off right while filming. But the director pulled heath ledger aside and said that they only had one shot at filming the scene right and so he had to be perfect. So when the charges failed, Heath improved it until the backup charge could be set. If that is actually what happened, then that is some extraordinary improvisational acting.
