Oddly enough, I don't like coffee OR tea. And I find the ridiculous peer pressure regarding something as simple as a drink to be entirely demeaning behavior.

OT: I'm sorry, but it's impossible for me to become what I hate. That would require me to drop my IQ 80 points and start jabbering on loudly about Conservatives, Muslims, and people who live in The South. In short, I wish to go on record to say that my father is a moronic bastard who can't see over his own ass in a discussion.

But I will say there was this one strange moment involving cole slaw. I don't like it and I was never forced to or pressured to eat it because it was an optional sidedish, but there had been a brief instance when I decided that cole slaw was alright. Some time later, I hated it again and have not changed that since. There are, additionally, things my folks thought I hated that they mistook. It's all very complicated here sometimes.

Used to dislike Christiano Ronaldo a lot...chanted Messi when he played...my opinion changed when I read some rather less known and nice things about him, like how he does not have any tattoos because of how often he has to donate blood. Messi's still my favourite, but I respect this guy too now.

I had a similar transition to you OP, but instead of not drinking tea and drinking tea it was being straight edge and then being a pot head.

Also when I was very young I was a devout Christian patriot and now I am an Atheist Communist.

Such cases.

I used to like milk, cheese, ice cream, and other assorted dairy products. Now I'm lactose intolerant.
This happened to me as well. Icecream was like, my favoritest thing in the whole world, now I get sick when I eat it, which is what I do anyways because fuck not eating icecream.

Also, tea is good. tea lattes are good. tea candy is good. I have nothing bad to say about tea...unless it's passionfruit tea. That's not tea, it's liquid garbage.

Me, all I hate is hypocrisy.

That up there on the line above, that's a joke. Feel free to laugh.
Hahah! I hated hypocrisy as well as heartless cynicism and those morally questionable, inhumane acts geared toward petty selfish gain.
...And I still do!
Unless it's me doing it, of course.

I am sitting upright at my desk with my hands folded, smiling right now.
Feel free to run at any time.

I'll admit I've grown a slight like for tea as well.

Definately grab a hot chocolate on the go though. I like mine big, with whipped cream and lots of sprinkles!
(Its how a MAN drinks it! XD)

I used to be a large Nintendo fanatic that refused to get non-nintendo platforms.

Then the Wii was released, but I couldn't play it in my room because it was as big as a medium-sized tent, waaay too small to play a Wii in.

then I found out about Fallout 3 for the 360, I was so amazed by the pre-release footage that I found myself wanting an Xbox 360 instead.

I've rarely played another Nintendo game ever since.

i really like tea my self, i used not like anime through highschool, but came a big fan after school ended. watching howls moving castle started the change when i watched it in grade 12.. then a year later a friend showed me elfen lied and hellsing. which changed my perspective on anime that you can make anything in the anime world. there are no rules, and i love that fact.... i recently finished the BUU saga of dragon ball z finally, DBZ is an old friend from my young childhood, before highschool tells you that your too old for childish things so i did not finish it back then.. i have right all the wrongs.

My dad and the local radio used to overplay LZ. That and Journey.

Now, I'm doing a retrospective on them, and found that they also made one of my favorite songs that I wasn't ever able to place or remember the name of.
It turns out to be Kashmir, from LZ.

(Which I honestly did not know until last year.)

Hated most Star Trek for a long time, didn't like the drama or the boring/slow pacing (for DS9 and TNG respectively). Now I'm actually watching them over again a lot of the concepts just "click" now.

There are many things in life that I didn't like when I was younger, but as I grew, so did my taste.

I always liked Tea however. Coffee is a different story, I hated coffee until I turned 20 or 21, now I don't mind it so much. I don't need it like some do, but I don't mind a cup once in awhile, especially irish coffee.

Most alchohol took awhile to get into, like wine for example. Now wine is one of my favorite drinks.

Much like you Colour-Scientist, I really hate a beverage and swear it is the yucky substance that I have ever drank. The two differences being mine is Beer and I STILL hate it. I am 22 now and so far it doesn't look like I am going to change. I have even tried to get into it over and over, nope. I prefer whisky, vodka, wine, rum. Hell anything over beer.

But.. But... *puts on hipster glasses* The first three albums are the best three albums!

Personally, I remember the first time I ever heard Mastodon I almost shat myself. Now I love them.

I eventually grow to love them.
