The raccoon is in Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man has his movie coming out after Avengers 2. I doubt either of them will be in this oneGuffe said:How many will they add?
Wasn't there supposed to be a space-prate-raccoon-thingy and AntMan for the second one?
Now a Witch and some SilverDude?
The movie will be one big RoyalRumble!!

Or am I missing something here? In any case, it'll be a little odd to see them in a universe where Magneto doesn't exist. Should be interesting, though.
Actually, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch's first appearance was in X-Men (volume 1) #4 as part of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. It wasn't until one year later in Avengers (volume 1) #16 when they left their father's team and joined Earth's Mightiest Heroes.Tombsite said:Because they first showed up as characters in the Avengers comics they can be used outside of the x-men. But only as long as you do not mention mutants, Magneto or X-men.Anachronism said:I thought Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch were owned by Fox on account of being part of the X-Men franchise? Long live lawyers I guess

Why will they not do this for my? Did I piss them off somehow? Don't make me wait until phase 3. Don't waste time on Ant-Man or Captain America 2, just give me a Doctor Strange movie and then stick him in The Avengers 2.
I can agree with that, given they have setup Thanos at the end of Avengers, I would say something bigger and more awesome will happen. Keeping the first film simple is what made it work to introduce the concept to the general public, now they can make it more complex.xPixelatedx said:You know what Avengers 2 really needs? A plot. A bad-guy from a previous movie coming back with an army out of nowhere... "just because", isn't going to work again. I don't care how witty the Joss Whedon banter is. It worked in the first movie because apparently that's all they could think of to get all the heroes together, but now that they're a team, try and add a smidgen of complexity, if it isn't too much trouble.
Well I agree with you to an extent. Thats why I said Phase three. That will be after GOTG and if that goes well, then the public will be ready for Tigra. Heck i'd say the public is okay with cat ladies if Avatar is any indication.Leftnt Sharpe said:The mainstream cinema going public is not ready for Tigra, with the honourable exception of Japan of course. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are not exactly the first characters I would choose for an Avengers movie, but I have faith in Whedon to implement them well.
Damn it. That sounds like something I'd really enjoy. It's just so dangerous to walk into a comic book store. You go in expecting to pick up one or two books and an hour later you leave $60-$100 poorer.Space Jawa said:At it's most basic? It's a...'quirky'...series to say the least. It's all rather absurd, really.
Sounds appropriately nuts.DRTJR said:I say Squirrel Girl for Avengers 3.
I was being a little bit tongue in cheek to be honest, but you are right, GOTG is Marvel's way of testing the water for the more 'out there' characters.Madrax said:Well I agree with you to an extent.
