You're not quite getting it. XP doesn't get in my way, is entirely stable and does everything I need of it. It doesn't matter that 7 is just as good in these regards since that puts the contest onto a single issue. XP is the lighter, faster system and so for me it's better, everything else you mentioned is irrelevant.

Is the PC version of Just Cause 2 inferior to the console version then? Just a curious question.
No that's his way of saying that it might suck since it was made for consoles, and historically console ports are shite. Played a demo of the first one, I can only hope the second one is a lot better, I wouldn't even buy it for my PS3.

Not sure if the same negatives can be said for console to PC conversions. Console conventions on PC are pretty bad but the games themselves normally end up benefiting from the additional power and flexibility of the PC. Add mods to that and the PC ports of console games sometimes end up as the definitive version.
Alone in the Dark 5.
Most irritating Console > PC port I've ever played, and it's not even ashamed to hide it.
Devil May Cry 3, seriously it used about 4 different buttons for cancel/go back in a menu. Laziest port I've ever come across.

It's true I've no access to the train wreck that is DX10 on XP, but really that's just one more option I don't have to turn off.

And i'm still angry at them for not including XP support.
To be fair XP is now two operating systems behind.
so? its still reliable . that C*nt i hate anti PC gamers. and i thought swedes were cool. dont worry , we still have dice and simbin on our side
Think about it like this. XP is turning ten next year. I don't think any OS has had that long a run in terms of support for games as XP.

Pardon me, but isn't piracy just as rife on the Xbox360 and Wii? And it's not through lack of trying that it's not the same on the PS3, it was certainly popular on the PS2.
