sadly, this will probably only be the first television casualty in a likely violent streak of broken screens as more people get kinects...

Well...shit has hit the fan,and then his TV. Kinect 1 - Villareal 0.
Good that he's positive about it, he probably had hard time explaining it to the kids.

No, a dude here did it

he always threw away the Wiimote Straps and gloves calling them Wii-condoms then said "I don't play with 'protection' " like it was original and funny, then one day when he decided to pop in wiisports baseball (instead of brawl the only 2 wii games people here seem to know about) he threw the mote through the screen (glass screen) after a quick freak-out and swearing he noticed the TV started to topple and it fell over and crushed his wii

I've always used both strap and glove and the most I've done is hit the mote softly ageist the wall (I backed into a corner playing Red Steel 2 on athletic)

but yeah... his parents bought a new TV... and him a new Wii (further proof that he's a spoiled brat that thinks everything has no consequences)

so yes, I just found that situation hilarious
and I'm amazed his parents didn't KILL him

At least he admits he screwed up. Also the teardrop bit was particularly amusing.

May as well play the game in a gym with the space needed for all those moves. But while you are in the gym you may as well do all that realtime with live people.

"causing it to die with a rainbow LCD teardrop dripping down from the impact wound." <--- totally made my day
I agree with this very sexily iconed escapist.

Anyone else wondering what kind of massive ceiling-fan-chain-projectile this guy had dangling in front of him in order to do that kind of damage to a TV? Or is this just the weakest TV in the whole world? If I spiked my ceiling fan chain into my TV, you'd hear a tiny plastic "plink". o_O
THats what I was thinking.
I've only ever encountered light plastic angling at teh end of the cords. Maybe the Tv just really sucked.
Mine have wood on the end. If I spiked that and it broke, I think I could very easily break a tv like that.

Aw, for a second I thought the entire fan got dislodged from the ceiling. That would have been cooler.

This guy sure is excited to be the first to break his TV, though. More power to him, I guess.

Has there been any accidents with the Move yet? Seems odd that there's one for Kinect, but not one for the Move...

I can't begin to explain how happy I am to hear one of these stories without a "...so he sued them" attached at the end.

Oh Kinect, you never fail to make me laugh. Dancing naked and now this?

Now I think the man took it maturely without suing or anything so *tips hat in respect.

Perhaps he needed to play it in his ballroom. Or maybe a sparsely-populated train-station.

a few months ago, a coworkers boyfriend was demoing it out on some platform they had it presenting on, lost his balance and broke his leg.
