I wish he was videoing himself doing it, then itd be on Failblog for all eternity. Now all we need is the first console casualty and first human casualty then we have the full set.

This is why games should never have you leave the couch, even without a hunk of plastic, people will still find a way to break things (mostly TVs and walls)

I wanted to know what book this Phil Villarreal wrote:

http://books.google.com/books?id=HYDN_wluTJsC&printsec=frontcover&dq=Secrets+of+a+Stingy+Scoundrel:+100&source=bl&ots=-dSpVrq4AB&sig=wpipRyqjGS3C1XcYtsFwWb3fclU&hl=en&ei=-srUTNyyB9_hnQfBi5y7CQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=6&ved=0CDAQ6AEwBQ#v=onepage&q&f=false

Seriously click the link, scroll though the chapter titles and then read the first statement in the 'threeword'. It does not disappoint. Notice the 1 star!

My prediction is that the first console Kinectcident will be the result of someone face-planting into their television stand, causing the 360 to shift violently, destroy the disc, and either break upon impact with the ground and/or receive a fatal error message.

As for the true first blood against a human, I'm guessing that it will occur when an obnoxious, Modern Warfare addicted 14 year-old is playing a fighting sim and tries to "cheat" by holding a real knife to see if the Kinect gives his boxing avatar special "knifing" perks. With that scenario in mind, I'm forecasting severe lacerations and/or an accidentally self-inflicted puncture wound to the jugular.[footnote]And somewhere, a guy this kid teabagged during a match jumps up and down in victory.[/footnote]

That's cold too.
OT: I'm inclined to laugh at this idiocy. Except it was a pretty nice tv.

Him not suing Microsoft over this actually restores a tiny bit of my faith in humanity.

I have a note from my mum. She says I didn't have to play the game today.

The lesson? be sure to have plenty of space around you when using this thing.

nah, the lesson. to hell with kinect and move, just stick to controller when playing any game.
As a nintendo gamer I say they can workk, if you're not an idiot about it... though move does look ridiculous.

Whoops, I misread the title, and thought it said Kinect claims first casualty, implying some one died while using it.
Regardless, good to see that he's not too upset about it.

Hilarious that a peripheral that lacks any sort of object manipulation would lead to this sort of accident. It seems motion controls (of any variety) lend themselves to breaking shit. Wiimotes through TVs, randomly sending stuff flying with Kinect, and although I haven't heard of anyone breaking stuff with the Move, it's only a matter of time. It's good to know that I have my pick of next-gen consoles when deciding what kind of bullshitty gimmick I want to use to wreck my nice, expensive electronics.

Crap! I lost the game...
It's not like we didn't see this coming. The odds of damaging something or getting hurt go up even more if you have limited space.

Ahh you bastard! =P.

In all seriousness though, this is just like the 'Wiimote through the TV' incident that brought about an upgrade for the wriststrap. How they will safety-ise Kinect, know I do not.

[sub][sub][sub]I know "safety-ise" isn't a word, I don't care...[/sub][/sub][/sub]
