thats very cool, altho all i coult think of was getting people in suits that track their movement to the robot, then have real robot wars

Meh, it walks smoothly enough, but the running seems like it's walking on it's toes. Really, even if it had been aware that the thing in it's hand was a sword it wouldn't have been able to chase anybody down with it.

The tai chi was a good touch, but I hold my enthusiasm until I see one that can do the leg motions as well.

Tai Chi is meditative exercise designed to flex one's physical and mental muscles, and does this by utilizing slow moves, symbolizing the channeling of spirit energy throughout the body.

WHY DID THEY TEACH THIS TO A ROBOT???

To prove that it can perform a set of complex motor functions. The spiritual implications are probably a joke made by the person suggesting things to teach the robot.
