I honestly couldn't think of a quicker way to stop me playing a game than putting a subscription on it.

Other than making a game that kills me if I get a "game over".

Very compelling, but not nearly cinematic enough to work. I'm glad I'm never going to buy another CoD game, I'll be saving space for several hundred other games this year as well as enough money to buy Belgium. More so when you have to pay for the game, then pay to be able to play it online on top of the XBL/PSN fees. Next you will have to pay Activision for thinking about CoD, because that is obviously something that the fans of the franchise want.

Kotick added that this kind of service is "hopefully" coming, and that he thinks "audiences are clamoring for it."
Someone get this man a straight jacket, he has officially gone insane.

EDIT:\\ May I also add, someone get him a throwing knife in the back.

This is gonna be the first CoD game to fail on it's ass because he doesn't realize how greedy he is.

For gods sake he charged 10 bucks more on pc (Now 20 since there was a price drop for consoles) and 20 bucks for 3 new maps and 2 old ones? And just a few months later 20 dollars more? No, I refuse to pay again.

And now a subscription fee to play online? I've got much better FPS to play like Team Fortress 2 or Timesplitters.

This guy makes Greed looks like a wimp. Unless of course, it's a full fledged CoD MMO, with real invasion of countries, PMCs running amok, real progression >.> Too bad that ain't happening.
See, that would be worth the cash - being able to play a persistant SAS trooper with upgradable gear and perks that can choose where in the world he wants to fight over (with bonuses/penalties depending on which group has which areas) would be awesome and totally worth a small subscription.

Paying for more of the same, however, would be shit.

Blizzard provides alltheir updates for free? then why did I have to pay for the Steaming Pile of Crusade and the Lolz of the Witch King, I mean Lich King? Seems to me that they sell us each expansion, and now anyone should be stupid emough to believe Activision won't?
I think the poster was referring to frequent patches

Kill him.
Looking on google maps for his house now!

But in other news,
yeah I don't see this going over now. If there were a subscription service attached to MW2 tomorrow, I would pretty much just stop playing the game all together.
