KOTOR2 is also backwards compatible, however on both boxes I've played it on it has suffered framerate issues.

Goodbutbetter, sir, I have an answer. You see, I work in a video game store and am constantly assaulted with this question (though most are retarded varations of 'will my y system game work in my unrelated in any way z system?').

Check Dis [http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardcompatibilitygameslist.htm] This is the list of original XBOX games that have patches available for backwards compatibility on the 360. A hard drive and an XBOX Live Gold account that is actively signed in is required for the patch to download/launch the game.

This method requires purchasing the game first and because of its continuing popularity and the fact a sequel in the form of an MMO is in development, it may be rather costly. But honestly, isn't a hard copy better than a flimsy digital one that can be erased remotely by a vindictive Microsoft employee you completely owned a Halo deathmatch?
Thanks, but you actually need Live Gold to get the update? And a hardcopy is better, but I've none of the shops in my hometown still sell xbox-games. Btw, a new secondhand store opened here, I'll check that out. But thanks for the help
If things don't work out there then there's always Amazon.com [http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000067DPM/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&qid=1249131002&sr=1-1&condition=used].

Both Knights of the Old Republic games are backwards compatible. I own both and play them on my 360 with their original discs.
If you can't find them in the used game store you said; check on eBay, but it would be a lot cheaper if you can find one in-stores.

Edit: If I had to pick of either KotOR and Fallout 3, I'd go with KotOR.

Ok, thanks but I have one last question; Should I get Fallout 3 instead?
What sort of question is this?

"FPS + RPG or RPG + TPP?"

Orange or banana? Red or crimson? You can't compare games from different genres, and we're not ones to tell you this. You can watch gameplay videos, you know.
Stop your whining and tell me what you would prefer.
Plus; orange and crimson
Why? Are we information units for you to press a button and then we spew our opinion like some automated jester, singing for your pleasure?

I daresay good sir you could do with tuning up your attitude. Making demands of people in such a way doesn't sit well with a great number of members. Asking? No problem. Telling is a whole other ball game.

You can't compare Fallout 3, Jade Empire and KotOR because they're different games from different time periods using different technology in different genres with entirely different settings.

I've used this analogy before, but I shall do so again: It's like comparing an Apple and a car engine and wanting to know which has the best electrical conductivity underwater.
Jesus, surely you have an opinion? Let me rephrase, if you had some spare cash, which of these games would you buy? Now pretty please with sugar on top, answer the goddamn question
And I'm probably gonna get banned for this, but so be it
I just logged on to say that you should get banned for this.

Love you too, man.

All xbox games have trouble on the 360, a bad frame-rate is one of the better problems.
Godbutbetter: You're being a jerk, maybe you should leave this alone for a day or two.

WTF man? I asked a simple question and I get this fucked up reaction. I admit I reacted in an unintelligent way, but I can't see why he couldn't just anwer the question like others did.

I'm not sure about backward compatibility, but I would say get KOTOR if it will work. Might not be very pretty by todays standards, but it is an awesome game.

Just pointing out that everything here after was mostly unnecessary dribble. The guy just asked a question which you didn't actually have to reply too in the first place, it's a shocker I know.
He changed genre, big deal.
He kept it in this thread and didn't go make another one, which half the Escapist would have stoned him for had he done that.
Lets give people a chance, last I checked we're not limited to question or do we have a questions asked policy now?

I don't think it it, KotorII however is.
I never played Jade Dynasty.
I do have Fallout3 and it's not bad, it took me a while to get into it before that I used to play it in hourly sessions more or less.
Just walking around dealing lead face implants to passers by.

Try a rent if anything, see how you feel about it.

I've got KOTOR 1 and 2 and both work on my 360, even with the glitches/ bugs on it.
