Edited appearance a little, nothing substantial to the character. Just sort of wanted to put him in a straight jacket...
So he's in a straight jacket? Well he really looks like a psycho now re-reading through the appearance. And now I have the mental image of him, I hope you're happy taking away my sleep.
He does look totally like a psycho now, Wonder how he's going to do when he has to blend in.
change clothes I'd assume, and possibly apply hat.

Edit: or I replace the waistcoat with a sleeveless hoodie to hide his face and hair?

If you want, but don't worry you will be able to switch your clothing early on if you wish to do so.

I'm interested although I?m wondering, are you accepting players who have good spelling, grammar and punctuation? I mean my spellings etc are not so great (by all mean I spell check on word doc but it I can't rely on that). By all mean I understand if you don't because of that.

Well as long as you can write in a way that is understood and attempt to use proper spelling and grammer I doubt any problems will be found. Submit a sheet and I'll make my decision from there.

Sorry I was gone yesterday, had to stay over at a friends house and couldn't use the computer (Thanks for that Fjeld) But it looks like not much has changed anyway.

Looking forwards to starting this up guys, I've never RP'd a mute character before :p Lets just hope someone else's character understands sign language, or this'll be a very difficult RP XD

Well, due to the Scientist your running with, there probably is at least one person.
Edit: assuming he gets in

The concept behind this character is someone who lies and deceives their way to where they need to be. It tries to avoid direct combat and turn potential foes against one another.

Name: Eugen Sauer
Codename: Adam
Age: 42 years
Lab: Owned by Cyber Prime Technologies

Bio:

Eugen Sauer was brought into Cyber Prime Technologies from the United States, having served in the military for six years, and then becoming an alcoholic, he seemed to have no place to turn, and willingly signed on so long as we promised that he'd get plenty of sleep. Considering that we usually put subjects to sleep before modifying them, we didn't even have to lie to him.

Cyber Prime Technologies has managed to implant and modify two chips in the subject's brain. Over the course of two years of constant conditioning, the subject has gained full emotional control. The subject can still experience regular emotion, though there is no way short of scanning his brain activity that we can know. Subject is still interested in sleep more than any other form of reward, which motivates him to complete our tasks quickly so he can get back to resting. Subject appears to be lazy, and takes circuitous paths in attempts to avoid strenuous physical effort. Between the sleeping and the avoidance of physical labor the subject fails to impress.

Modifications to the Logis Implant should lead to enhanced memory recollection. The subject should be able to re-experience memories and pick up details accordingly, along with storing false memories to keep track of alongside the real ones. Subject uses increased memory to dream more vividly, it is now even more difficult to wake the subject up for tests.

Pheromone control has been added with the emotional control. The subject can put people with whom he has direct contact into a specific mood, which increases susceptibility to manipulation. Subject attempted to use this on lab personnel, and has been put into solitary confinement as punishment. In hindsight, that's probably what the subject wanted.

Overall the subject hasn't given us many problems, but hasn't put forth much effort in any category. While the subject is perfectly capable of performing the tasks we've given him, tasks are not completed with any sense of urgency.

Perhaps the subject will be more motivated in a field environment.

Appearance:

Objectively speaking Eugen Sauer has brown hair, green eyes, is 1.8 meters tall, weighs 61 kilograms. He is Caucasian with Romanian heritage.

Has a lazy demeanor, though can always change his demeanor and body language at will, but lazy is the "default". If there isn't any particular lie that he's trying to keep up he will have lazy dull eyes, and you tend to wonder if he's even fully awake.

Abilities:

Can tell a lie completely and totally as if it was truth, even creating a memory in his own mind that resembles that lie.

Can perfectly recall and relive an experience from memory, complete with visual, auditory, olfactory, and even tactile clues. (a.k.a. go back and remember if it was a blue shirt or a red shirt)

Can perfectly recall and relive false memories in parallel to their real counterpart. (a.k.a. keep track of the lie I told that guy, did I say I was wearing a red shirt or a blue shirt)

Can secrete pheromones to put target at relaxed state more susceptible to lies. (coaxes target into specific mood, be it "irritable", "friendly", or "excitable".)

Not an experimental ability, but has enough experience with facial and bodily clues to know when somebody is repressing an emotion.

All of the above abilities require the subject to be in direct contact with his target.

Preferred Equipment:

Earpiece w/ "audioscope" gives ability to listen to conversations happening up to a mile away, but only if there is a clear and direct path to the conversation.

Otherwise, likes the simplicity of a handgun and the deception of a rusty dagger held behind the back.

(EDITS: removed Ordo Magi part. He is now nothing more than a good liar with a good memory and pheromone control.

bio contains more personality.)

There is no mind control involved, though there is definitely mind manipulation... I hope you like the concept, though.

Name: Eugen Sauer
Codename: Adam
Age: 42 years
Lab: Owned by Cyber Prime Technologies and enhanced by the Ordo Magi Sect of Mind

Over the course of two years of constant conditioning, the subject has gained an enhanced level of emotional control. While the subject experiences emotions, there is no physiological way to determine what they are at any given time. The subject is also capable of emulating any emotion from the most extreme to the most subtle. Along with emotional control we added a chip that would control the secretion of pheromones to go along with whatever emotion is being emulated.

Through modifications to the Logis Implant, the subject can relive his own memories, as well as create and relive false ones. Further conditioning and experimenting has been done to give the subject a level of memory control, to prevent the subject from trying to store more memory than he is capable of storing. If not kept in check the subject will fill his memory, and render himself incapable of experiencing further memories, trapping himself in his own mind and continuing to relive the same memories in an indefinite loop, until someone comes along and purges those memories. We do not yet know the full extent of damage that can be caused by such a situation.

The success of experiments done to the subject will be applied to more broad level espionage programs, meanwhile the experiment is to be used by other labs to see what further increases can be done to enhance espionage potential.

---

The subject was sent to Lab 7 to be experimented on by the Ordo Magi Sect of Mind. They found him to have limited potential, but limited goals were still achievable. The subject has been trained to implant false memories into a target, or altering weak or recent memories of the target.

It requires active focus, and can't be done on more than ten individuals at a time, but the subject has demonstrated an ability to implant these false memories in real time, effectively altering the perceptions of those around him.

The subject appears to "grow" on people, increasing the "strength" of memories he can implant, along with being able to erase or alter "stronger" memories as well.

With the successes of our espionage tests so far, we feel the subject is ready for field testing.

Appearance:

Objectively speaking Eugen Sauer has brown hair, green eyes, is 1.8 meters tall, weighs 61 kilograms. He will change his appearance, from clean and rich to poor and dirty, depending on where he plans on going.

While he can slightly alter appearances based on the preferences of his target, he will only ever appear slightly taller or shorter, slightly more muscular or slightly scrawnier, clean or dirty despite being the opposite. He can only do this for the target(s) he's actively dealing with, he will look like his normal self for everyone else. This only ever really has the effect of putting his target in the mindset he wants, he isn't suddenly going to look like a giraffe or anything.

Abilities:

Can tell a lie completely and totally as if it was truth, even creating a memory in his own mind that resembles that lie.

Can perfectly recall and relive an experience from memory, complete with visual, auditory, olfactory, and even tactile clues. Can even perfectly recall and relive false memories in parallel to their real counterpart.

Can secrete pheromones to put target at relaxed state more susceptible to lies.

Can imprint his own false perception of events onto the mind of his target, causing the target to think things are happening differently than they actually are.

Can replace a target's recent or weak memories with a false version with different details.

Not an experimental ability, but has enough experience with facial and bodily clues to know when somebody is repressing an emotion. Can also tell when somebody's story is inconsistent with a previous version.

Deficiencies:

50 years worth of perfect memory storage sounds like a lot, but when you're keeping track of several false memories along with the real one, plus retaining the memories from training and for planning on the mission, it becomes necessary to use external memory storage on long missions.

Not an experimental deficiency, but is a lazy person and hates to run. Will avoid running if at all possible.

Preferred Equipment:

Earpiece w/ "audioscope" gives ability to listen to conversations happening up to a mile away, but only if there is a clear and direct path to the conversation.

Otherwise, likes the simplicity of a handgun and the deception of a rusty dagger held behind the back.

This character should be somewhat like the villain in this Torchwood episode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3-7tBnxTJs , but not as powerful.
First of all thanks for the app but there are problems. First of all I find that all the powers you have from Ordo Magi are too powerful. If you look up on the page you'll notice that someone who had mind manipulation, and just mind manipulation, has it to a weaker degree than your character does. I would allow memory implantation if it took a decent amount of time and you could only implant memories on one person at a time if that were your only power. So either lose those abilities, or water them down to a great degree. Second, could you please explain the limit of false memories you can give yourself, I mean if you can hold up to two years of false memories then it's not going to matter really. Also, do the pheromones only make the emotions you're faking more realistic or do they affect the demenour of people. Third, your experiment has no actual weekness as not wanting to run is not a weakness and you haven't really defined how long "long" is. Finally you don't have a personality written down. There may be more things but I can't think of them right now. Please make the neccasary edits/explanations.

But of course, I serve only to please...

Also I care more about the deception than the memory manipulation.

1). Removed the Ordo Magi part entirely. I want legitimate deception in full force. I put the Ordo Magi in because I was worried about the build without it, but the more I think about it the more I can run with pure lies.

2). The ability to recall things from memory is the important part of that ability. The ability to recall false memories is so I can keep lies straight in my head (and is handled IRL by simply rereading the thread, so I can't conceive of a real limitation to that). If you think the ability to recall things perfectly from memory is too much that's fine, but being able to keep lies straight in my head doesn't seem like it needs a limit.

3). The pheromones affect the demeanor of people, not in a big way though. It can make them more easily angered, or more easily seduced, or more friendly, but only slightly (think "+2" modifier if this were a DnD situation).

4). Experimental weakness I was thinking of was: "Has to shuffle between memory sticks to keep everything straight in his head", but I'm not entirely sure about it. And if I'm going to stick to the pure liar angle then I don't know if it's strong enough to even warrant a deficiency. (Especially considering I'm going to suck at fighting).

5). I'm editing it all now.

Okay, so now I am satisfied with the build. Note that the pheremones won't be nearly as effective as the mind manipulation of the Ordo Magi Experiment. I'll discuss with the co-GM if no weakness is a good idea but I'm leaning a bit to the okay side and I have the same opinion towards recalling memories perfectly. But now the Experiment looks good and well done.

Name: Nick "Regal" Dennis

Gender: Male

Age: 33

Lab Affiliation: 2

Personality: Dennis prefers to go by the nickname he received from his brother, "Regal." It describes his very uptight, polite, and generally dignified manner. He always stands straight, moves his body in tight formation, and keeps a dignified posture. His laughter is almost always restricted to chuckles, and his fear is always immediately transformed into a determination to resist. He is fiercely loyal to Ursalia as a whole, but in particular to Lab 2, which has secured his livelihood for his entire life.

Though he is known for his polite manner, Dennis is not a very pleasant person. He is either awkward or downright mean with those who he doesn't trust.

Nick values order above all else. Disharmony is his greatest fear, which he believes to be the recipe for tyranny. After all, in an anarchical environment only the strong survive, and strength without social responsibility leads to corruption. In an ordered environment, any kinks in government can be worked out efficiently, like troubleshooting a program that is being written. Along with instilling order wherever he goes, Nick also seeks to find and take vengeance on the hacker who killed his family; though, to him, these goals are one and the same. He carries a memory log of when his estate was attack by its own security to remind himself what he's fighting for.

Bio: I was born in Ursalia, and I've known living nowhere else. Both my parents were scientists with Cyber-Prime Technologies, and it is largely thanks to them that I've been such a tech-whiz all my life. As I went through education, I was very successful in the fields of physics, astronomy, programming, and writing. A life of seclusion has limited my social graces greatly, as I was raised in a massive estate where I was privately tutored.

A month or so before I was going to leave home for college, the first time I'd been away for extended periods of time, I had my first exposure to chaos. The estate guards, sentry robots, were hacked by an unknown force. The hacker decided to play with the friend-or-foe identification settings, and the bots fired indiscriminately on the estate's inhabitants. I still remember vividly the night when it occurred. The bitter smell of blood and scattered flesh, the jungle of strewn about furniture and rubble, my childhood home reduced to a burning skeleton. I survived with the aid of my brother, Winston, who helped me to reach the safe room after I had broke my ankle trying to traverse the hazardous environment. From there, we were able to call in aid to neutralize the situation, and I escaped unharmed.

[As a note to my superiors who are reading this bio, you will have to forgive me for not wishing to speak in detail about the night of my family's murder. I understand that many of you are undoubtedly interested to see how my physical ability played out in greater detail, but this is a painful memory to recall, much less write about.]

After the incident, I traveled to a well respected university, where my years of extensive tutoring paid off as I ascended through the university at breakneck speed, skipping years of education. My young age coupled with life of seclusion and recent mental trauma crippled any chances I had at socializing successfully, but this was ultimately irrelevant, as I secured a high-ranking job with Cyber-Prime the very instant I left the university.

I began working in security, which involved the invention and maintenance of security technology, with my brother, Winston. You may know me for my advancements in automated defense optics, allowing for the simultaneous use of thermal, motion, and sonar. However, I was once called in to work on maintaining Lab security in a more personal fashion. A mole had been detected, someone who had been selling company information to other countries, and I was supposed to track the criminal down.

It was only through extensive monitoring, server-hacking, and stake-outs that I discovered the mole was Winston. I captured him without hesitation, transported him to a Lab 2 cell, and suggested to my superiors that instead of death, he be made into an experiment. They agreed eagerly, believing this to be a better use of his potential. I was granted one last opportunity to speak with him before his memories were removed using new technology and a subjugation chip was installed. The conversation was recorded.

>> Play Audio >>

*The hissing, sliding noise of an automatic door is heard from the background. A man is heard clambering into a chair.

"Hello, brother."

"What do you want, Regal? You here to gloat?"

"No."

"Are you going to explain why decided to stab me in the back? Your own brother?"

"Me? Stab you in the back? What about how you betrayed me? You turned on our own lab, you betrayed the welfare of your friends and your fellow Ursalians you sleazy prick!"

"Don't spew that toxic patriot lingo at me. This country is nothing but a coalition of corrupt corporations."

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying that we live in a nation that supports the abolition of basic human rights. Where else could live experimentation be legal? Even encouraged?"

"It's all voluntary, brother. There's no ?"

"It's only voluntary because of all the propaganda that gets thrown in our faces. 'You're securing the future of mankind,' our scientists tell the victims, 'your sacrifice will lead to the betterment of all.' It's all bullshit. We're sacrificing people for the sake of profit, not societal benefit."

"But they're intertwined."

"They're intertwined because our government consists entirely of those who form the economic monopolies. And these CEO's that determine the fate of so many citizens are not responsible enough to lead."

"So, what, you're seeking rebellion?"

"Don't be ridiculous. A revolution here is as outlandish and unlikely as one in, say, North Korea. No, I seek foreign intervention. The U.N. is the only hope of instilling a responsible republic form of leadership."

"You bloody idiot!" *A loud clamor is heard, a brief spurt of static as the mic tries to translate all the sound. "Ursalia has stability! Order! Social harmony! Yet you would open up our borders to the chaos of the outside world?"

"You would think of it that way, wouldn't you. You're still just a child, Regal, afraid to leave his home to confront the big, scawwy world. When you open your eyes, you'll see I was right all along."

"I'm done discussing your insane motives."

"Then what shall we discuss, Regal?"

"Philosophy."

*Laughter

"Okay, little brother, lay it on me. Who knew you were such a Socrates."

"Would you rather die as you are, or live with a mind that is not your own?"

*Brief pause

"Somehow I think that decision's already been made for me."

>> Stop >>

After that, I oversaw the... transformation of Winston myself. It was excruciatingly painful, to say the least, both for me and for him, but I had to be certain that it was done right. If left up to someone else, mistakes might have been made. I just wish he had given an actual answer to my final question so that the uncertainty would not have gnawed at me so.

Appearance: Regal wears a thin, navy blue coat with sleeves that get tight at the wrists. "L2" is stenciled in white on the front. He wears skin-color gloves at all times except in combat. His pants are made of thick, black cloth, forming a shape similar to jeans, but with a different texture. He has short, blond hair, bordering on a buzz-cut, and he is clean-shaven. His face has a delicate build, with pale skin resulting from many nights staring at a computer screen in a secluded, dark room. Though you normally couldn't tell unless the gloves or jacket were removed, Regal's arms are entirely replaced by cybernetics in order to boost his physical strength, and typing speed. The arms are made from a sleek, white metal, which forms the outer shell. Inside, a nano-weave forms a black muscle pattern. His eyes are a steely grey, and close examination reveals a circuit pattern behind the irises.

Abilities: Regal's combat abilities are restricted entirely to his arms. Both arms have a blade hidden under the forearm made from titanium and with a thin lining of energy on the edges. The energetic edge allows the blade to cut through many more materials with greater ease and to burn flesh. In addition, both arms are extremely powerful and responsive to Regal's brain, allowing for increased agility. He can produce punches that shatter a man's ribcage even with combat armor. The left forearm has a hidden touch screen interface that allows the user to hack without lugging around a separate device.

His eyes feature the ability to highlight areas where electric current is flowing through objects in beacons of bright gold. He can also tone the sensitivity or range of amperes that will tip off the sensors in his eyes. This allows him to spot traps operated by electricity with ease.

He is equipped with basic firearms and explosives training, but is not very proficient in either category.

Deficiencies: The energy blades consume energy rapidly when activated, so long term use is inefficient; at most, he can use them three times before a bio-cell must be used. Alternatively, he may use the blades without the benefit of energy, but it goes without saying that it is far less efficient when used in such a manner. The energy blade is meant more for a single, quick assassination rather than an all out knife fight. When the arms exert intense amounts of force, energy is also drained, meaning that the advantages brought by their strength are relatively short term. Lifting objects that are around Regal's weight is the maximum strength of the arms, and maintaining that maximum output of force drains the arms within around thirty seconds. A quick burst of maximum, bone crushing power will drain his energy reserves quickly, and a lesser punch, while still able to seriously wound a man so long as combat armor is not present, consumes energy at a merely moderately rapid pace.

Regal may use his alternate vision mode and hacking computer for hours on end, as they do not consume energy very rapidly. However, while using current detecting vision, anything that does not contain a flow of electrical current within the set range of amperes is shown as black, so he cannot see anything but electric current while in that state.

To replenish energy, Regal either uses bio-cells, a rare form of battery that is created solely by Genoform Corp, or his own body's biological energy. However, he must conceal them, meaning he can only carry around one or two. The former is a far safer way to replenish lost energy than the latter, which can lead to exhaustion, dizziness, or in worst case scenarios, fainting. Should his arms and eyes run out of energy and are not replenished using either method, the arms will become inoperable, and the eyes will fail entirely, rendering Regal blind.

A summary of power cell usage:

Energy Dagger: 1 use = 22.5% cell / biological energy
Enhanced Strength: Lift for 30 seconds (maximum power) = 90% cell / biological energy
Enhanced Strength: Punch (maximum power) = 30% cell / biological energy
Enhanced Strength: Punch (low power) = 10% cell / biological energy

When below or at 10% bio-cell energy, the arms will begin to become sluggish and unresponsive. The hacking interface and electric current vision will begin to glitch, making them highly unreliable. If Regal reaches 50% biological energy, he will become fatigued. At 25%, his awareness, strength, and reflexes will reach dangerously low levels, and his gadgets will suffer the same fate as when at 10% bio-cell energy. If he should venture lower than 25%, he will begin to suffer from hallucinations, extreme fatigue, paranoia, and dizziness. At 0%, he will either fall into a coma or die, depending on factors such as hydration. All negative effects caused by lack of natural energy will carry over despite how much bio-cell fuel is in use.

The process of applying a bio-cell takes about a minute, so when he has to use one he will be forced to hide while he waits for it to kick in.

Preferred Equipment: A pocket watch that will reveal a bio-cell and natural energy monitor that is wirelessly connected to his arms. This allows him to efficiently keep track of his energy situation while remaining classy.

"They're intertwined because our government consists entirely of those who form the economic monopolies! And these CEO's that determine the fate of so many citizens are not responsible enough to lead."

"So, what, you're seeking rebellion?"

"Don't be ridiculous. A revolution here is as outlandish and unlikely as one in North Korea. I seek foreign intervention. The U.N. is the only hope of instilling a responsible republic form of leadership."

"You bloody idiot!" *A loud clamor is heard, a brief spurt of static as the mic tries to translate all the sound. "Ursalia has stability! Order! Social harmony! Yet you would open up our borders to the chaos of the outside world?"

"You would think I was doing that, wouldn't you.

"Would you rather die as you are, or live with a mind that is not yours?"

*Brief pause

"Somehow I think that decision's already been made for me."

His eyes are a steely grey, and close examination reveals a circuit pattern behind the irises.

Abilities: Regal's combat abilities are restricted entirely to his arms. His right arm has the capability to fire silenced 5.56 mm rounds from the palm in semi automatic fashion. His left arm has a blade hidden under the forearm made from titanium and with a thin lining of energy on the edges. The energetic edge allows the blade to cut through many more materials with greater ease. In addition, both arms are extremely powerful and responsive to Regal's brain, allowing for increased agility.

Deficiencies: The gun in Regal's right arm can contain 30 bullets in a single magazine, but he cannot carry very many replacements without looking suspicious; he only keeps one or two with him. The energy blade consumes energy rapidly when activated, so long term use is inefficient. It is meant more for a single, quick assassination than an all out knife fight. When the arms exert intense amounts of force, energy is also drained, meaning that the advantages brought by their strength are relatively short term.

To replenish energy, Regal either uses bio-cells, a rare form of battery that is created solely by Genoform Corp, or his own body's biological energy. The former is a far safer way to replenish lost energy than the latter, which can lead to exhaustion, dizziness, or in worst case scenarios, fainting. Should his arms and eyes run out of energy and are not replenished using either method, the arms will become inoperable, and the eyes will fail entirely.
As usual, let me know if anything needs changing.
Well, I think it's all up and in the clear and it's nice to know we got another scientist. Otherwise I just need to exchange a few words with my co-GM. Your scientist is intresting as I could imagine him in lab 6, I'm not suggesting its a problem, but it's sort of intresting.

I like it as an idea, I just think a few more disadvantages for him maybe, right now he just seems to be a Determinator with lots of gadgets.

I have to agree, on second look he seems to be lacking somewhat in the weakness area with his fighting abilities and hacking, and such.
EDIT: Also you forgot the item of personal equipment.
Double EDIT: Also, could you define the relative limits of the power cells? How much does the powersword and such take up?

I've defined the rate of energy consumption more extensively, and removed the gun hidden in his right arm. After all, if he's going to have a sidearm anyways, he doesn't need it.

I've also added personal equipment, as requested.

Let me know if further nerfing is needed.
