It wasn't him, it was the aliens and graphics...in ToD they used real bugs, so why CGI ones in the new one?

Look it's not totally your fault dude, as the commentary on my DVD said Spielberg and Lucas were out to bend Indie over a rail in the first place (as South Park so eloquently put it, they raped him)

Hes putting too much blame on himself. true, he could have been better and made it 'come alive,' as he put it, but the largest portion of blame relies on the writer himself. CErtain stroies are impossible to do successfully, and I feel that this was one of them, because it was so radically different and so much more retarded than the usual Indiana Jones movie. Following that, the director shoulders blame for his directions and set pieces and everything, and then comes the actors. Excluding HArrison Ford. Harrison can never be at fault.

LaBeouf is taking way too much credit. Indy4 was headed downhill well before he showed up. I know the plot, Luca and Speilberg are gonna be the major blame takers but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say maybe part of the reason the movie was crap was the fact that Harrison Ford is OLD! In any of the other Indiana Jones movies, Jones is a young rugged adventurer. In this one he is a graying father. It wasn't the Communists or aliens that I hated, it was watching Harrison Ford try to recapture his youth on screen that was painful to watch.

Fuck no, Temple of Doom is a thousands times better than Indy 4.

The problem with ToD was they went hog wild with that movie's setting turning it into a rollercoster ride from hell...literally.

All the set piece were perfect for a great Indy movie, and even with all the ridiculousness the film still pulled it off.

In Indy 4 not only are all the set pieces garbage, but they also decided to go nuts like they did in ToD. It's like they took all the worse aspects of the other movies and combined it into one shitstorm...0o

Mister LaBeouf, so long as it wasn't your idea to have aliens, it wasn't your fault...

And to be frank, I'm a fan of the Transformers movies (what? it a movie about transforming robot-cars, shut the hell up internet!)

Keep doing what your doing, my frined........Just stay the hell away if Robin is ever added to the Nolan Batman films...or I will find you...

Personally, I liked the movie. Yeah, I loved the previous Indy movie but Indiana Jones 4 should be judged more on it's own merits rather than its predecessors.

That said, Shia has definitely earned my respect. Not many actors are willing to say "It was my fault."

Now, if only we could get a mass apology from that which is MTV/Much Music.

Well, the guy's not exactly a horrid actor. He just gets stuck in roles that people will end up despising him for no matter what (few Indy fans will take the fact that he has a son sitting down, and anybody with the last name Witwicky in the Transformers saga is associated with the word Fail). I'm sure that if he gets a role that doesn't settle him into Fuckhead territory before it's even released that he'd do better.

I honestly didn't have a problem with LeBeouf's acting. I just thought the writing was sort of weak and that you could see Lucas' greasy fingerprints on everything (the refrigerator, the Tarzan thing...sigh).

I also know that a lot of people hated that it was about aliens, which annoys me. You can't accept the idea of wise and benevolent creatures who live in the sky and influence human life? I didn't see you complaining about the first three movies...

Yeah Crystal Skull wasn't up to par with the first three but it did manage at least to not take a big smelly all encompassing shit on the entire franchise like the Star Wars prequels. Hell, if he REALLY wants to apologize for something why not Transformers 2?
Am I the only one who like the prequels better than the originals?
