LaBeouf: It's My Fault Indiana Jones 4 Was No Good

If I had to act in a movie as bad as Indy 4 or Trannyformers 2, I'd probably do a terrible job just because I was handed a bag of manure with the word "Script" on it. He didn't have much to work with, as opposed to Holes, in which he was excellent.

Haven't seen the new Indy, but if his performance there is anything like Bayformers... yeah.

I'm not sure if this apology is sincere or he's merely rolling our collective ****s with his tongue so he gets another chance "Because he's such a nice, humble and honest actor."

luckas, please keep the force at home in an indy movie.
same with the 'survive a nuke in a refrigorator' gig.

its good to see a star that's this level headed...my opinion on LaBeouf has changed I now have respect for him. The movie wasn't horrible but it wasn't as great.
Then his publicity stunt of "omg guys sry its all my fault <3" has worked, obviously.

I don't buy it LaBeouf, you're a terrible actor and you're not sorry, you're full of shit.
must we always assume people are lying. Personally I prefer giving him the benefit of the doubt...even if he still is a horrible actor
HAH. Yeah because everyone is a flower child in this honest, happy little world. Seriously, everyone lies, especially celebrities.

Honestly i like the Crystal Skull. When asked how i felt about it compared to the other Indiana Jones movies i said it was better then "Temple of Doom" but one notch short of "Last Crusade". I think it falls nicely between those two.

Although i think the only reason i liked it and most people i know didn't was because i actually KNEW THE LORE ABOUT THE CRYSTAL SKULLS! It does help a lot if you know what a movie is about.

And although i probably wouldn't like him personally, i think LeBeouf is a good actor able to play most any part he has gotten so far. He was good in that golf movie way back, he was good in Holes, he was good in Eagle Eye, and everything else he just went with the cards he was dealt. IF he was a less-douchy character in the Transformers, and the ONLY freaking human character like it should have been, i would probably like him there too.

It honestly wasn't your fault, Shia. It was the aliens'. But you will never ever live up to the greatness of the racist caricature that is Short Round.

Wait, humor me for a second. So you're saying that the reason why no one else liked it was because you were the only one to study up on the movie before seeing the movie so that the movie didn't need to tell a story that explained what was going on in the movie?

I kind of like that he admits he has some faults, but I think he did pretty well in Indy 4, given was was presented to him. Hey, all the star wars precquals were pretty much univercely seen as pieces of shit, (I walked out of one half way though - First and last movie I've walked out on so far) And LaBeouf wasn't in those. I always say - If something's constantly going wrong, and there's consistancies in each, they might well interlink. Or, to put it much less smart-arse-ly, If someone makes something shit, then somthing else shit, then something else that's as shit as the other two things, it's probably their fault.

Still, could have picked a better movie to say that he ruined, am I right? Like maybe transformers...

Didn't he apologize for Transformers 2 a bit ago too? Or was that someone else? If it was him, I think something's up considering this is the 2nd movie he's done it for in a week or two.

Lucas and spielberg let the world down. Don't worry about it, Lebouf.

Now transformers... however.. yeah. You and your in film chick made the movie shitty.

...Well. I always hate that awkward moment where someone apologizes for something that couldn't really be helped anyway. All I can really say is... at least Megan fox isn't spreading?

Not exactly, I would say that i wasn't upset as most people i knew seeing Indiana Jones go into a movie with aliens screaming "Indie doesn't fight aliens, he fights ghosts and wizards!" No, what Indiana Jones does is search for the truth in myths, and the myth surrounding the crystal skulls is aliens. And honestly I liked the story told in the movie.

Honestly, I didn't find Crystal Skull any more campy or ridiculous than the first three. Shia LaBeouf is actually a decent actor, he just keeps starring in these explosion-heavy summer blockbusters that make loads of money when they come out but are then forgotten in two years. Hopefully his career will take off at some point.

I wonder what's wrong with him...(I can hear you all crying "He's a shite actor" already)
It's probably because everyone's calling him a bad actor and he's taken it to heart.

I have to say that I really enjoyed Indy4 as much as the others.
I hear it getting alot of flack about "zomg ze aliens wtf" but honestly is that
really so much worse than a magical box that shoots Anti-nazi super-jew beams? Or three people falling out of a plane a surviving the impact on solid ground in a life raft?

Indy 4 keeps up with the same exact ideal of the other three, good simple boyish violence.
I'm not saying it was a great film, but then again it wasn't meant to be. It's meant to be about guns, whips, explosions, beating up nazis/commies and the overall adventures of the world's greatest super-nerd.

The first three movies took actual historical legends (The Holy Grail, the Ark, and the Goddess Kali) and went bonkers with gutting out the facts of it to make a Hollywood movie, but we all remember them as great classics.

Plus I liked LaBeouf in this, it was nice to see him not acting like a bumbling, awkward man-child.

And I actually really like him as an actor, ever since Disturbia.
Yay! I'm not the only person who liked him in that movie. Sure, it was Teen Rear Window, but he did a damn good job in the role, and made the movie a bit more than it would have been otherwise.

As for Indy 4, the CGI and fridge were worse than Tarzan Labeouf.
