I last bought Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy: Legacy Edition and got £18 off it because I traded in Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, cool eh?

King's Field for PS2

pretty sweet

until I found those fucking glowing-red-fangs spiders

because I just had to be arachnophobic

other than that, it's a really sweet game

though I'm still kinda surprised about it using PSone control scheme

I've been renting-only for some time now, since I haven't played anything worth replaying. I'm hoping for the best with Uncharted 3 and Batman: Arkham City, and Max Payne 3 (if it ever comes out). These games are campaign-based and pretty linear most likely, so they won't have a lot of replay value either. The game with the most replay value I've ever purchased, bar none, no contest, is still Smash Brothers Brawl for the Wii.

Red Steel 2, new full package for $20. Loving it so far, especially once I hit the first boss.
That's such a fun Wii game, sadly there's next to no replay value, and I don't think it's possible to get EVERY upgrade in the game...

what saddens me the most is once you beat it
you can't go back in a new game with your old stuff
if you want to back track you have to start a WHOLE NEW FILE FROM THE BEGINNING

off note: I got a Red Steel bundle pack, RS1, RS2, and a MotionPlus all for around $30 at costco

Portal 2, but, to comply with the thread rules, the game before that was Killing Floor. It's awesome. Like a mix between Nazi Zombies & L4D2, with a whole lotta more awesome thrown in for good measure. =]
YES! SOMEONE ELSE WHO LOVES KILLING FLOOR!
*cough* sorry
you've no idea how many L4D2 addicts will rant about how L4D is the "best zombie shooter ever" and when I mention killing floor to them they reply "I haven't heard of that so it must suck"

...yes because paying less for a better game is TOTALLY sucky *grumbles to himself*

on the note of zombie game however
Dead Rising = Amazing :B

oh- and my most recent game purchase was MvC3
my most recent game DLC was Magicka
and my most recent game download (it was free) was Dungeon Fighter Online (thank you extra credits)

=L Not being funny, but I own L4D, L4D2 and Killing Floor all on Steam, and Killing Floor is better than both of them.

(Before Portal 2) My last game purchase was Dragon Age 2. Do I regret it? Not necessarily as I had no problems affording it at the time and I loved its predecessor so much. However, it was lacking in many ways that I don't need to go in to as the DA2 horse has been flogged past death in these forums.

Portal 2, before that I bought Dragon Age 2. Dragon Age 2 was pretty mediocre, kinda regret buying it. Portal 2 on the other hand... was amazing.

Dissida 12 [Insert rest of really long name here], it confuses me greatly, I just feel like I'm missing something.

Crysis 2. I was so looking forward to it but hate myself for not actually enjoying it at all. The characters are annoying, the setting not as pretty and exciting as I'd hoped, the powers and weapons fairly dull and the action repetitive... sigh, might swap it for Portal 2

Portal 2. And dear god yes.

Dragon Age: Origins and F.E.A.R.
Both games have gotten popular over the years, and I felt the need to finally play them.

I didn't like DA:O at first, but it's grown on me. F.E.A.R. is just amazing... too bad it's a wasteland online though.

Got Portal 2 for $20, and Mortal Kombat for free.

I still refuse to pay $60 for a game and will do whatever it takes to get them at a reasonable price, including beating everyone in a MK tournament
How did you manage that? Buy them from a friend who was done with them or using the internet? I'm hesitant about dropping 60$ on Portal 2 as well, waiting until I can find it for about what you got it for.
i was given several mint condition rock band games to trade in, along with instore credit. after all that portal 2 cost me $20. i also got killzone 3 for $0, but i still haven't played it. its just who you know, having friends in the game industry and a gamefly account saves me money :)
