Why did you not build walls around bunker hill? Can't catapults fire from there?
Unfortunately no, catapults can't fire through walls, unless they are carved into fortifications but then the goblins arrows can still get through anyway. Although, having the fortifications means less skilled archers need to be closer to the walls before they can fire through them so I might still be a bit helpful. Unfortunately there's an elite in there so it wouldn't have mattered.

Nooooo!
In any case, can catapults shoot over walls? If so, place a wall on bunker hill. I know that Balistae can fire through Fortifications, too.
Sadly so can the goblins. A wall would block the goblin arrows, but the wiki says catapult rocks stay on one Z-level until they fall.

Edit: I just saw the previous post, sorry. In regards to what I've already written, you could raise the catapults a Z-level at range, but back far enough that the floor would get in the way of enemy arrows. I think?

But why redwarf you when you're not dead?
Just in case you grow desperate and need new names, because the dorflist is empty... or in case my dorf dies a horrible, painful and most likely slightly embarassing death.

maybe send the Deadly Blood forgotten beast up to meat meet the Goblins?
Thats a interesting idea, but then the Gobbos would likely just slaughter it like they did the zombies. However, the deadly blood would likely mass slaughter the goblins ofterwards- BUT THEN youd have to dead with the deadly blood yourself, and that would be a pain in the arse.

Hurray, my useless migrant ass has survived his first wave of goblins! ... For now. We'll survive this, though! Reveredtour can survive anything! Right guys? ... Right? This is nothing like that last goblin attack! ...right?

Oh god, why did I migrate to this deathtrap.

Well fuck, at least it would get rid of one opponent. the trouble I see is getting them to meet without pissing them both off and letting a dwarf, or two, die.

Except they're not. A quick look at the raws show the badgers have no properties that would make the immune to magma. Dumping one in magma in arena mode quickly causes them to bleed to death. I'm guessing that was just some kind of joke.

The real benefit of MAGMA floods is they tend not to stick around. Syndromes however...

Is that an ampersand? Is that an inside joke that I'm missing? My dwarf is willing to be a meat shield soldier for the glory of Reveredtour.
