Until you figure out the trick Bridge of Sighs in Homeworld is ridiculously difficult... That sphere of frigates confounded me over and over again until I finally had to go to outside help.

The level in Red Alert where you have to chase that guy to the coast.

Pretty much all of the original C&C expansion pack.

The prison in HL2 was annoying, I don't know if I'd call it difficult but I did die a lot.

Without a doubt in my mind. Red Baron in GTA:SA.
It was mentioned on page 1, but I don't give a fuck. That mission was atrocious.

Edit: Also, DOWC After about 8 fights, I realize that even though I've been charging territory after territory solely to upgrade my honor guard, the computer will have 1 territory and a full retinue of them. Pure fucking cheating. Which for me, being a merely average RTS player, means that the 'normal' difficulty is impossible.

Try DoWC in the hardest difficulty as the Imperial Guard... They are the only army which I completely gave up on.

Im really suprised no one has mentioned ghouls and ghosts. I attribute that game to my problem with rage now lol. If you ever get a chance to try it out you will see what i mean. Makes you want to drop kick your grandma.

The entire damn original Prince of Persia game for NES. That game is so difficult it made me want to immolate the cartridge immediately but unfortunately it was a gift so I had to play it at least enough to seem like I might have enjoyed it. Anyone who has ever beaten this game has far too much time on their hands. The instant dying, no saves, very low number of lives and horrible control make this the most annoying game I have ever played.

GTA vice city. driving to the mall, shooting EVERY window pane in the whole damn place, and driving back to your mantion. in under 5 minutes....i spawned cars in the mall and couldnt do driveby's fast enough, then you get to the 2nd floor....

Well, that's because IG suck. Certainly they're the hardest faction, you can't rush with them because their infantry are worthless.

Anyway, I'd name virtually every Freelancer level starting with the attack on Tekagi's Arch. That was when I had to use cheat codes to get myself invincibility to get anywhere.

Both Alma battles got me the first time through Ninja Gaiden, not really levels tho. But for a level, The Monastery...just evil.

This sounds stupid but Mauvais Garcon in the GH3 bonus list is a spawn of satan in french, and Raining Blood, no comment on that *flips off RB*

The Goron Mask kids game on the moon in Majora's mask, only done it once and I tried for literally almost 2 hours.

Skedar Ruins from Perfect Dark (N64) was also quite hard

The fight with Hollister in Gun (don't laugh, I got it for like 2 bucks)... Freak shoots me to death with his rifle behind 5 boulders for across the field yet 4 shotgun shells, almost thirty rifle/sniper rifle shots, an entire quickdraw gauge, and a whole flask (plus one glup) of whiskey later and I still can't kill him.

But on the other hand, two Leman Russes, a Baneblade, a hellhound or two, a Kasrkrin squad, an ogryn group and full infantry rushing...
If that doesn't win you the battle (HQ battles aside) even on the hardest difficulty... You're doing something very wrong.

But let us not forget: God of War. Hades. Revolving tower of spikes. That's the kind of level that'll make you invent new swears.

Oh god. I actually threw my controller at the wall after about half an hour and now it has a distinct rattle in it because something inside broke from the impact. That essentially ruined a flawless game, in my opinion.
