Looks like Zidane in a few of those screens.

Anyway, I'm definitely getting a 3DS once this, Star Fox, and the new Paper Mario are out, and hopefully by then the price will have dropped a good amount.
3D papermario?...
Yep. [http://www.google.com/search?aq=2&oq=paper+mar&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=paper+mario+3ds] Still no release date, though.
yeh but paper mario is flat... in 3D...

I'm more curious about the price tag. A remake should not cost full price when the only thing that's original is the graphical style.

Wow, when I heard they were going to re-make it I was like "Meh, so they port it over"... but I'm liking these graphics. They're improved enough to make it noticeable and worth re-buying but similar enough so that it doesn't stray from the original feel.

I haven't owned a Nintendo handheld since the Gameboy Color. And I think it's time to finally get another.

Quoted for truth^

Even though the graphics are improved (and 3D-ified), and they've added a couple new things, it's still a re-make and would definitely not buy the same game I already own and have beaten for full price.

I'm hoping they add a few extras to it like they did for the Link to the Past on GBA. Seriously, extra dungeon and Four Swords Multiplayer. That's how you port an old game and make it value for money.

Why are they wasting time with this when there are much better Zelda games out there? I'd like to see Link's Awakening, Oracle of Ages/Seasons, and Minish cap on a single card.
After all, they're the best Zelda games.

The fact that people will pay that much for it. And people do. I mean, the Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii sells for like $70 now but that's because they stopped making it.

As a fan of Professor Layton, World of Goo, and Plants vs. Zombies, I believe charm can sell a game. And the charm definitely sold this game to me. Gotta get my money ready for June 19th, then...

>mfw "price drop"

Yeah, I've got a feeling that the 3DS will be $250 for a long time. And I point to the fact that Super Mario Galaxy 1 is still $40 used at GameStop. Nintendo won't drop the price until well after Christmas.

I honestly think the 3DS is worth the $250 I paid for it, but if I were you I'd at least wait until the internet browser update comes out and that's scheduled for late May.

Main reason why I dislike, Nintendo. They have such a following behind their big named games, that the price never declines, even if it's old and used.

Something tells me that no amount of graphical updating will make the great fairies any less pants-wettingly terrifying. That's not to say I don't want it, though.

also:

Okay, no, I don't really want Zelda to look like this. But it is really freakin' cute.

Maybe it's just because I've played The Wind Waker, but none of that was particularly cute.

I mean come on:

Go find a new copy of Pokémon Emerald for a fair price.

...Give up? Yeah, that's how it makes sense that used is $35. There aren't any new copies (for fair prices) to turn to as an alternative.

He looks like Majora Mask young-link, rather than OoT young link. But I don't really care, it's going to be awesome.

And I also happen to really like 3d.

Not to belittle Nintendo's latest device, but this seriously feels like a "remake machine" if anything. And this game sounds like nothing more than that. Rehashing a game with some graphical upgrades, a few new gameplay elements, and that's about it. No new story, characters, or truly innovate gameplay (like maybe using a scythe instead of a sword or tossing shuriken instead of firing arrows). Then again, one could argue Zelda has been remaking the same game since the NES (just kidding).

But I'm still not convinced enough to buy a 3DS. I want to, but not until I see something worthwhile on the device. StarFox is tempting... but... again... remake. The only real reason I'm considering that is because I can't find my N64 copy. But I paid $7 for that where as I'll probably by paying near $40 for this. :(

I'm worried about the controls for this game, I hope they don't shoe-horn in touch screen controls into it.
Other than that, I'm pretty sure I want this and the 3DS.

EDIT: Also Megaman legends 3.
