Does.. does anyone lese think this is a really genius scam? Yes OOT is a great game, it was a great game in 1997 back when i played it to death. I don't see why we need ANOTHER version of it. Between all the emulators, Gamecube packages and of course Wii-ware there are plenty of ways to replay the game. Its already there, nintendo is often cirticised of lacking new ideas but the 3DS lineup from the big N is straght-up N64 mash-up with the added nauseating 3D.
You just don't understand it's not just Ocarina of Time its Ocarina of Time in ***3D***!!!! Just like you aren't just playing Street Fighter 4 on the 3DS you're playing Street Fighter 4 in ***3D***!!!! Just the same as you're not just playing Dynasty Warriors on the 3DS you're playing Dynasty Warriors in ***3D***!!!! Just the same as you're not just playing Rayman on the 3DS you're playing Rayman in ***3D***!!!! Just the same . . . oh hell do you see a pattern yet? The 3DS is looking to some kind of con to get people to rebuy games with a shitty layer of 3D slapped on to justify the 40 dollar price tag.

Honestly outside of the Kid Icarus title I'm seeing fuck all as far as original titles go for this thing. Sure they are going to be spewing out a new Mario platformer but dollars to doughnuts says it going to play just like New Super Mario Bros which played sorta like Mario World which played amazingly similar to Mario 3 which. . . yeah there's that silly pattern again. Wake me up when Nintendo releases something other than headache inducing remakes for this thing. Something tells me I won't be woke up any time soon.

Ew. I very much prefer the 64s blocky-ness to this....stuff. The characters look so bulbous and out of proportion.

Look at his fat little arms and bulbous face. Nasty.

Yea Link is cute BUT it includes MasterQuest from what i've been told. I'll just stick with the four Zelda games I got on Game Cube in my Wii. :)

I'm just happy they are including Master Quest in this version. I just hope I don't have to beat the game 1st to unlock it.

Looks like Zidane in a few of those screens.

Anyway, I'm definitely getting a 3DS once this, Star Fox, and the new Paper Mario are out, and hopefully by then the price will have dropped a good amount.
>mfw "price drop"

Yeah, I've got a feeling that the 3DS will be $250 for a long time. And I point to the fact that Super Mario Galaxy 1 is still $40 used at GameStop. Nintendo won't drop the price until well after Christmas.

I honestly think the 3DS is worth the $250 I paid for it, but if I were you I'd at least wait until the internet browser update comes out and that's scheduled for late May.
I saw a Pokemon EMERALD at Gamestop for $35 tell me how it makes sense a USED game is more than it was new.
Main reason why I dislike, Nintendo. They have such a following behind their big named games, that the price never declines, even if it's old and used.
You guys realize Nintendo doesn't control how much Gamestop sells their used games for, right...?

Gamestop's notorious for scamming people by buying their used games for ~$2 and then marking them up ~5000% (sometimes literally); has nothing to do with the companies that make the games.

why are people so willing to pay 250$ for a 3ds only for the remake of game that(if we scrape of the crust of nostalgia)is not as awesome as you remember. Don't get me wrong, i like zelda and link rally looks incredibly cute in the screens but still

Don't like the cuteness to be honest, BUT, the game still looks fantastic even after all these years.
The textures have been sharpened/touched up quite a bit for the 3DS release. Seemed pretty obvious to me the instant I saw those shots.
No, I know that. I meant that it just looks great anyways.

I might be interested in getting this for the DS games I already own. I may be willing to grab up old game ROMs since they're practically impossible to come by now adays, but when it comes to modern titles I'd rather make sure I'm only getting what I already own.

He looks awkward. There's just something wrong with how he looks it's like he's not exactly Link but instead a suspiciously similar substitute or something.

That's actually a typo on my part. I ment, "Nintendo Games".

And I've been to various places. Heck, Walmart had last month, Twilight Princess for 60$

The only place I've ever gotten a deal on a Mario game was at a Pawn Shop.

You know, people criticize Nintendo for remaking the same game all the time with a slightly different twist or character.

But this, this is the THIRD time they've released Ocarina of Time, completely unchanged for the most part.

Maybe those people have a point.

Anyone else bugged by the hands? This is the same system that plays Resident Evil: Revelations, and you're telling me Nintendo couldn't be arsed into making proper hands with independent fingers and such?

Got the game on Virtual Console. Don't need another version of it, in spite of how much I love it.
The hands look really bad to me as well, they really look like hands of a 3-year old. The fact that this is on a handheld is in no way an excuse, Peace Walker's models had excellent detail especially on the hands and hair of the characters.

It baffles me how much enthusiasm this minor upgrade has incited, I mean if you've always thought the were graphics as amazing then I kinda understand but the thing is that while I didn't like the original game's aesthetic that much, Majora's Mask looked a lot better for me, despite them having the same graphics engine, because of the detail and general art style, which I found to be much better and more suitable for the mood.

Why are they wasting time with this when there are much better Zelda games out there? I'd like to see Link's Awakening, Oracle of Ages/Seasons, and Minish cap on a single card.
After all, they're the best Zelda games.

*Ahem*

This, is the best Zelda game ever made, the music, Atomsphere the fact they actually allowed people to die.

It's wonderful. *Rimshot*
