So basically where i live i've got school coming up in about 9 days so what's a fast method to lose weight. And please no smartass answers like starve yourself or do a 1000 push ups a day because for someone with no athletic abilities that would just lead to losing muscle mass. This thread is not only for me but for people with a similar situation so it would be great is you could share your wisdom on the subject. Some simple form of diet or exercise would be nice.
Edit:Im not expecting to lose the weight in 9 days im just looking for a relatively fast method.Oh and also i said im not athletic i dont know what that means by your standarts but im not obese

There's no way to lose weight in a day spawn of 9 days -.-
Sorry but this is fact.
I hope you keep your spirit up and start losing weight during school so that people will see you progress.

The sad fact is mate, theres no way to lose a vast amount in 9 days or so, not unless you really hit the gym every day, and even then it will unfortunately be a slow process.

Work on your Cardio (running, cycling, etc) and diet. No protein or carbs. That is all I can think of. Good luck :)

do a 1000 push ups a day because for someone with no athletic abilities that would just lead to losing muscle mass

9 days is all you've given yourself? Champ.

Well if by "weight loss" you mean "minimizing retention of fluid" then yeah it's possible. I know that Special K cereal boasts that you can drop a few pounds if you eat it for 2 meals a day for a while. Personally I prefer to avoid salty stuff, and stick to fresher foods for a few days.

Try eating an apple (or something similar) halfway between breakfast and lunch and halfway between lunch and dinner.
This should stop your body from making more reserves.
Though it's a pretty slow process (without physical exercise) and if you stop you'll notice your body quickly starts making reserves again.

Cut off one of your legs, you'd be amazed how much lighter you become!

I dunno, just do the usual stuff. Eat less, exercise more. Wait an excruciatingly long time for results to show, become depressed when they don't, give up. Keep telling yourself that you'll join a gym when you can afford it, but never actually do it.

I wish I could lose weight. I just cant seem to force myself into doing it. Stupid willpower.

Dropping your salt intake is a good start, get plenty of exercise. Its possible to loose a few pounds in a week (I once lost 5lb in a single week) by sticking to a good diet and getting a lot of cardio.

Proper diet is along the lines of
2 portions of meat
3 portions of veg
2 portions of fruit.
2 portions of carbs. (rice, pasta - preferably brown)

"portion" being approx 100g, or fist sized pieces.

And by cardio - something that makes you sweaty and out of breath.

Liposuction.

That's not me being a smartarse, that's me telling you the only feasible way to accomplish your vaguely defined goal within your parametres.

Jog and workout for 2-3 hours every other day.

Tis what im trying to do the atm, but i managed to jack up my leg.

Cut down on all fat in diet, alot of countries deep fry their food which is fail.

My sergeant said the best low cost way to train is to have weight (rocks, bottles of water) in a rucksack (10-20 kgs) and go for walks.

You could maybe lose about 3 pounds in 9 days if you basically starve yourself of food and live on nutrient milkshake type things. There's a particular diet which does that called The Cambridge diet.

But the sensible thing would be to eat healthy and exercise and lose the weight gradually. Of course if you've subjected yourself to hydrogenated fats you will never lose the weight without surgery.

Steak. Lots of steak. And bacon. And cheese. Maybe some chips as well. Then sit down and watch a film to let it all sink in.

The weight watchers point system works fairly well, though no as fast as you want. I've been on it for a few weeks and have lost at least fourteen pounds since then. The good thing about the system is that you can eat whatever you want during the day (as long as you don't exceed your daily points) and you don't have to count calories.
How to calculate your daily points
Weight Watchers Updated: Your personal daily points target- use this formula

1. Are you
female?- score 2
Male?- score 8
A nursing mom?- score 12

2. How old are you?
17-26- score 4
27-37- score 3
38-47- score 2
48-58- score 1
over 58- score 0

3.What do you weigh?
Enter the first two digits of your weight in pounds.
(for example, if you weight 199, you will add 19 to your score)

4. How tall are you?
Under 5?1- score 0
5?1-5?10- score 1
Over 5?10- score 2

5. How do you spend most of your day?
Sitting down? score 0
Occasionally sitting? score 2
Walking most of the time? score 4
Doing physically hard work most of the time? score 6

Now add them all together and that?s your daily total. It might be higher for some. My WW coordinator said if this is the case, take the difference between your new and old and divide it in half and then add that much to your previous total.

And here's how to calculate the point value of particular food items
Calculate the Point Value Yourself
· Step 1
Look at the food item's packaging or lable for nutrional values. Divide the calories by 50.
· Step 2
Divide the total fat grams by 12.
· Step 3
Add the values from Steps One and Two to get the value of "X."
· Step 4
Divide the dietary fiber grams by 5 to equal "Y."
· Step 5
Take "X minus Y" to find the point value of the food item. Round up values higher than .5 and round down for values lower than .5.
IN addition to the weight watchers point system exercise a little bit each day, it can be a simple as a 15-30 minute walk, riding your bike for a bit or (during the summer or if you have access to a heated in-door pool) swimming. If you do all of that you'll most likely see some results pretty soon.
