Anonymous = Organises attacks based on social ideals.

LulzSec = Just hacking people for the hell of it.

This is why I can tell LS to royally off themselves. Not that there will be much need for it, I mean really, they're trying to hack the *FBI*. That's the group that you specifically do not mess around with- ever. I realise they've played similar cards in the past, but all that resulted were a lot of arrests and criminal investigations.

It's like announcing that you're going to vandalise something- just so you can be arrested later on. What's the bloody point?
Must be Natural Selection of the internet.
When I heard about the Lulzboat hacking the FBI, the one thing that went through my head was funeral music. I almost feel sorry for the lulz-guys. Enjoy federal prison, guys!

But seriously, while they are a Shadow of what they were, the FBI are like the bulldogs from hell. The moment they find the neck, and they will, they ain't gonna let go.
It would be nice to believe that. But we really have yet to see any action by the FBI when it comes to stopping this ridiculous hacking spree.

Dear Anonymous,

You claim that you weren't behind the PSN hacks, some of us believe you and some of us don't regardless of this you still claim to do what you do to support and help us. These LulzSec shits are starting to make what you want to do even harder, they are poking the bear and pissing off the people that you are trying to protect. Would you please do us all a favor and show these little fucks that there are consequences for their actions.

Thank you,
The Internet

There's idiotic internet trolls, and then there are threats to all life, threatening mainly because of how ignorant of reality they are.

These are by far the latter.

I think I found out why this 'LulzSec' has the balls to execute such things.

In their possession is a very powerful relic called 'Dr. Manhattan's penis'.

God help them if the FBI figures out who they are. Attacking a government agency in any way can be construed as terrorism. Come on, FBI! Take those bastards down!
It goes a bit further than just claiming that it's terrorism... [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.288217-So-I-guess-America-really-takes-their-internet-seriously-Updated-with-new-link#11420744]
Ouch, I can see it now.

Dumb hacker 1: "We just hacked the FBI! For the lulz!!"
Dumb hacker 2: "Does that sound like a fighter jet to you, lol?"
*BOOM!!*
Later,
Reporter: "Why did you send a fighter jet to bomb the house of these hackers?"
FBI Agent: *Puts on sunglasses.* "For the lulz."
now that's funny i don't care who ya are XD

but seriously, can we NOT have morons waving their non existent dicks in front of every one in the form of hacking -.- getting really tired of hearing about these pin heads

Isn't it obvious that they wouldn't show any reaction? They won't because it will provoke more action. What's going on is a full analysis on the attack, then the hunt. I'm sure if it got press they would either make a low key response or not compliment at all.
After this, it is considered an act of war, LulzSec is considered a hostile enemy. All activity that the FBI is conducting should remain unnoticed by us. And LulzSec will be taken, by extreme force. Their lives, lives of everyone, and everything around them ruined. LulzSec really is treating this like a joke, that is until SWAT teams and special response units point M4's and 870s at them. They will have no defense.

It's comforting to know that LulzSec is able to bring Infragard Atlanta down and keep it down. (Check the first post for the link to Infragard Atlanta's security alliance for more insight).

It's no longer a matter of 'Everyone has shitty cyber security'. I think we have to admit that LulzSec actually has members of considerable skill.

I wonder if this was the extent of their FuckTheFBI-Friday, or if they intend to do more. At the moment their attempts to look truly badass are falling short. They're making the FBI's security firm look really bad, but little more than that.

Wow, look at it all. They keep doing it. They keep waving their hands going "I'm a moron who wants to get my life ruined forever! Come arrest me!". What a bunch of idiots. The only way to get away with things REALLY is don't do nothin' in the first place.

Basically, for those who didn't get to see it the gist is that it's a subtitled Ukrainian news report that they've put (roughly) the following subtitles on:

News reporter: I want to speak to lulzboat
Ukrainian man 1: This is him right here

Unkranian man 2: I'm behind Tor <An IP obfuscation network that acts like a pass-the-parcel so the packet endpoint differs from the originator and the originator is theoretically very hard to trace>
News reporter: You know LulzSec don't use Tor?
Ukrainian man 2: Huh? What do they use?
News reporter: Y'know... Skills...

I wonder if they'll be so happy when they're being tried for treason :)

Ah well, guess they think that they can hack an FBI website the FBI can't find out who did it :p Pretty sure they'll be crying and screaming like little girls when the fbi breaks down the door.

I find it interesting that everyone is focusing on LulzSec and not the fact that the head of an FBI associated organization tried to work with FBI most-wanted cyber-"terrorists" to participate in corporate espionage.
If they need to commit corporate espionage, I would imagine their competitors are "protecting" some rather important names too. If hacking the real terrorist, the head of Infragard, is an act of terrorism, then helping him hack other's must be the work of the devil.

Exposing such corruption (and to such a high degree) is commendable. Now exposing secret military operations... Not so much, but if they are that secret, why are you using publicly accessible networks to communicate information about them.
