The exact amount of information released is unknown but lulsec claims that the file was viewed thousands of times before being taken down.

Well, is Games for Windows account and XBox Live accounts the same? If so, I might as well change my password.

Well I guess this means Steam'll be next on their list, they've hit all the console devs.
If you use Steam Guard you should be fine.

But still, this news sucks. Should probably change my stuff.

Hopefully they actually do something to Valve instead of getting their info just to prove they can.
Valve needs to be taken down several pegs, then have sharp pegs driven through them.

For the love of Pete! At what point does Twitter shut down their feed anyway? For the record i sent them a message asking them that and haven't heard anything.

This is what happens when you support hackers who steal info. They're not doing it for you're good. If they were, they wouldn't have stolen your info, much less put it on the internet.

Yeah it is mate, same service. :-\ The whole "Live" brand (including Live Messenger for example) shares that info.

Just checked and followed a link. This site [http://dazzlepod.com/lulzsec/] has a list of compromised addresses so is probably well worth a check for anyone to see if they have been affected.

Can't say I'm surprised, considering that Lulzsec doesn't care who it attacks any more.
Did they ever?
Didn't they start this whole thing saying they were trying to help companies find security holes? I thought originally they were trying to claim they were 'helping' create better security. I mean it devolved into random DDoS attacks really fast, but i thought that's what the deal was originally. Someone correct me if I'm wrong (though i'm sure you will without me having to say so).
