If it wasn't for the fact that Zelda games aren't rigidly connected to each other, I'd love if Navi appeared in a future game (Not counting Twilight Princess, she's only a cursor!).
I was never really annoyed by her little HEY LISTEN or WATCHOUT
Indeed, that is what happens. When it says he's searching for a lost friend, it goes back to the moment of Navi parting with him at the end of Ocarina of Time.
Was this the North American version of the game? I just Youtube'd the Majora's Mask intro and I saw no such scene and I am intrigued by this mystery...
At least I'm not crazy and there actually was a scene like that.
But who else could he be possibly looking for? And when I was 6 playing that for the first time, it was pretty clear to me that he was looking for Navi.
There many theory about it. Some say it's Navy the fairy... but i beg to differ. The Skullkid are basically the Kokiri that lost themselves in the LOST WOOD. I remember that there 2 kokiri that mention Saria in the beginning of Ocarina of Time. One is Mido, or as i like to call it, the Deku Tree's *****. The other one is a kokiri named... i forgot, but he's clearly in love with Saria. I think he's pulling the bush around Saria's home. Since Saria is the Forest Sage, i don't believe she can become a Skullkid and play the "Saria Song" at the end of Majora's Mask. So, i'm willing to bet that this kid went to the lost wood to search for Saria and got lost, Turning him into a Skullkid. He then "fall upon" the portal to Termina. I say that's delightfully Tragic, like an Opera.
Hm. Interesting theory. Never heard of that myself but it is intriguing to say the least.
Also, I don't remember really any of that from Ocarina of Time, but then again, I didn't like that game nearly as much as Majora's Mask, so I didn't play it as often.
Navi, though it was a good game in all but what I want to know is, did Skullkid, Tali, the mask seller, and....other purple fairy, cross over into the alternate dimension of the Zelda universe where Hyrule is...cause the alternate dimension within that alternate dimension was were Majoras Mask takes place.
tatl and tael are from termina, THE skull kid is termina's skull kid copy. (there were a couple hiding in the Lost Woods, so hes not just a termina only thing, like majora is(possitentially, anyway)

Navi.
At the beginning when it says he's looking for an old friend, it even flashes back to when Navi left him at the Temple of Time.
At least I'm not crazy and there actually was a scene like that.

I own both of them, (the N64 Cartridge and the Collector's for Gamecube.) and i remember the intro. It was between the first part of text and the the title screen. It was the Final Cutscene where link put back the master sword in the pedestal. I see that's the intro for the collector's version and the cutscene ain't there. I didn't notice it mainly because I don't watch it anymore. I'm burned out. I did that game 5 time. Maybe they remove it from the Gamecube since you kinda play the first before the sequel... right?
As for the N64 version. I couldn't find it on Youtube so i can't show it to you. I don't believe i'm mistaken, but hell, prove me wrong and i'll give you a cookie.
By the way: Couldn't they make the moon less Creepy.

Seriously? Then, who's the friend Link is searching for. Navi? She leave because her mission was done and the SkullKid have a fairy friend. There's no Kokiri, or a version of, in Termina.

I played far more OoT than MM. That's fucking moon creep the hell out of me. I don't know why but i did had nighmare of that f****ing face a couples of times.

I loved the darker tone and I literally started crying (I was 6) when the moon fell on me the first time because I was so scared (once again, I was fucking 6)
BUT ANOTHER QUESTION! How did link get the orcarina of time? Because in the intro ( the one you guys link to) obviosly Skull kid takes it from link. But in the end of Orcarina of time zelda uses it to send link back... so how does he get it?

Creepy doesn't mean Darker... Here, have a test. Ask one of your friend to follow you all day doing the moon face (or make a mask of the moon, if he or she is lazy) and see if it make the world around darker.

I'm sure there's a throwback to OoT beside the Time song teach again by Zelda. Anyways, i would give you the cookie, but Arnold Schwarzenegger is screaming at me to put it down... for some reason. Ho hell.
