Perfect example, but you'll find most of those have been done professionally. Every day usage like that for the average woman would be pretty hard, let alone expensive. Yes we do notice the difference, because it damn well makes one!Anonymouse said:Easily taken care of my friend.

Yes I am fully aware there is probably a little photoshop added as well but well. A relative of mine is a "model" and trust me. Before and after make up is a huge freaking deal.
I am the proof that this theory is totally false. My self esteem couldn't be any lower, and I very rarely wear make up.EmileeElectro said:I have a theory that the more make-up you wear, the lower your self esteem is.
Yeah, I also have low self esteem and wear little make-up, which is why I'm not sure about it, lol.Geek@Heart said:I am the proof that this theory is totally false. I know how you feel. I'm exactly the same. Lipgloss and mascara ain't gonna hide my ugliness.EmileeElectro said:Yeah, I also have low self esteem and wear little make-up, which is why I'm not sure about it, lol.Geek@Heart said:I am the proof that this theory is totally false. But the girls at my school seem to hide behind 4 inches of make-up and ***** about people who don't.
They most likely ***** because their insecure about themselves.
But I don't wear make-up that often because I think you can't polish a turd.
To put it nicely, there's no point in me wearing make-up because I'd need more than that to make me look nice.
StarStruckStrumpets said:I've been trying to get my head around this for quite some time. Girls/Women, why do you wear it? I don't know a single guy who actually cares, and apparently it's proven that guys only notice it when there is too much on. I for one, don't care what-so-ever. I just don't understand why it is worn. The most common answer I have is:
1) It makes people feel more comfortable with themselves.
This one is NOT TRUE. I mean, if it's only noticed when there is too much and it looks awful, how does that make you feel better?
Please explain to me! I don't understand! I'm crying for help! I need this problem solved. It's been in my head for a loooooooong time.
NO.......This is a the answer you wanted to hear. You are unwilling to accept any other answer except one that condemns make-up. I agree with this:StarStruckStrumpets said:THIS is the kind of answer I was after! Instead of people going ballistic at me, you've given me a decent explanation. I thank you.hypothetical fact said:Because women are masochistic in their instinctual desire to attract a mate. They can't explain it because it is subconscious and it just feels right. Regardless it is the same reason they wear low cut tops, high heels despite damaging their feet, earings despite offering no benefits and plastic surgery.
Then when a man does pay attention they are stunned and offended because they are just doing what feels natural and shouldn't be objectified for it.
Instincts command the human brain no matter what our personality thinks.

I have to agree there, I mean, my ex-girlfriend was probably the nicest person I've ever known and that's why we stayed together for so long (we only split up because it ended up as a long distance relationship). I was interested first because of looks, then personality drew me in more than anything. That said, looking at your and Geek@Heart's messages, above, I just feel the need to yell at you both, don't keep putting yourselves down! Believe in yourselves, I know that sounds really cliched but it's true, both of you, believe that you're beautiful and you'll find that you actually are, with makeup or withoutEmileeElectro said:Looks grab attention... personality captures the heart.
You know, Lima, you're not helping.LimaBravo said:Throw rocks at themsuckmyBR said:Why do girls wear perfume and make-up?
