"Yeah...See, he even took Xot's skull. However we disintegrated him. Utterly. No trace of him left. We saved the skull though.

"You... You did what?"

 

[Saltarius]

"Woah woah, we did not do anything. Bane did, we just kept the skull cause we thought he was your boyfriend or whatever and you'd be sentimental and shit."

 

[Knife-28]

"THEY ACTUALLY KILLED HIM!" I yell from outside, before ollieing out.

 

[RaNDM G]

"One moment please. My current paramaters are rerouting management authority to... O-oh... Nevermind."

A woman's voice rings in Salt's mind.

"GREAT. YOU SHOULD HAVE HAD IT EASY ONLY HAVING TWO REGULATORS WATCHING YOU. BUT YOU HAD TO KILL THEM BOTH! DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL PROUD?"

 

[Paddy the Second]

"For fuck's sake Salt I told you to leave him alive. Now look what you've gone and done." I walk over to Sam G. and put a hand on her shoulder. "We'll bring him back. I promise."

"Yeah Salt! Well done!" I walk over and try to comfort Sam. "Don't worry. We can always try and bring him back. If not, we can damn well avenge him."

stares blankly at the preceding events. shakes his head and walks away. muttering to himself "the amount of crazy shit i see"

I gesture at the receding figure with my revolver, asking Zombie "Who was that asshole?" I remove my gas mask to look down at my battered and torn suit covered in blood and chunks of Fluthlu. Zombie steps over to me, his armoured suits hydraulics hissing and the remains of Raven Razor swearing. "Dunno, any idea Salt?" Salt is too busy fixing up his skull encrusted suit and the ludicrously armoured G-Van to answer.

 

[Saltarius]

"For the record, I merely reduced Xot to a cripple. But who fired the shot that ended Xot's life?"

"Here, let me help." I grab Xot's broken body and fire a bullet into the center of his skull. "Now, do you re-spawn?"

"I think you might want to play back the security footage Sam."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"You both contributed despite my protestations."

 

[Saltarius]

"Well, one, you are the magical expert, yet offered no healing magi-y'know what? Screw Xot. Screw the guardians. Screw this mall."

I merely walk over to the bridge and sit down, head in my hands.

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Oh, sorry I don't know how to bring people back from the dead after a week! Sorry for wanting to get home alive! Sorry for wanting to know what the fuck's going on!"

 

[Saltarius]

"Damn it you guys, how the hell was I suppose to know he wouldn't respawn? You honestly wanted me to believe his bosses wouldn't let him respawn? Just...just leave me alone."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Look Salt, I'm sorry. But we, as a team, fucked up. But we're the G-Team. We've still got Sam G. we can still fix this. Together." I reach out a hand.

"You're fucking freaks, all of you, I don't know why he chose you."

 

[Saltarius]

"It's...it's going to be fine Paddy."

I walk over to Sam G.

"Listen, I understand he was your best friend and we did kill him, but you need to get over it and quick. I'm not threatening you, but we need you to tell us some things."

I survey the carnage before me.
