I suddenly jolt out of my self-made coma and sit up.

"...We any farther?"

 

[DotSlash]

"..Nope..."
I start listening to music and blast it loud.

 

[Sigma Castell]

I start a rave with some Desert Penguins in the back of the MM2.

 

[Saltarius]

"Paddy...how long was I out?"

 

[Paddy the Second]

"A couple hours I'd say. Still got a ways to go now."

 

[Saltarius]

"Right. And did anything happen?"

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Not really. Woon got his throat slit. Slash was in WAOA."

 

[Saltarius]

"Ergh. Them. Yeah, sorry about the whole...gonig into a coma thing. It's just Sis..."

I put my head in my heads.

 

[Paddy the Second]

"I understand Salt. I had a normal life before the mall you know? Stuff like that all the time." I light a nostalgic blunt.

 

[Saltarius]

"It doesn't feel normal. It feels like whenever I try and fix things I just fuck them up more."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Exactly. That's the way real life works. Why do you think I'm enjoying this so much?"

 

[Saltarius]

"I sure as hell am not."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Because you're treating it too much like the earth. You're trying to hold down a romantic relationship between two unkillable universe travelling maniacs."

 

[Saltarius]

"Paddy, I'm not even trying for a romantic relationship. I'm trying to be her friend again."

 

[Sigma Castell]

"I can't undertsnad why. She's a *****."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Well that's alright then. Long distance friendships (and this is very long) can work, but they're not easy a lot of the time, so don't expect everything to fall into the palm of your hand fully formed."

 

[Saltarius]

"I'm not. I just...She won't let me fuck up even once and say sorry."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"She will, in time, when she's ready to. It sounded like something was going down where she was, so she's probably a bit caught up in that right now."

 

[DotSlash]

I wave at the guys, still in my seat.
"Yeah... that actually is kind of unfair, Salt. And just cause i'm in WAOA doesn't mean i'm not staying here."

 

[Saltarius]

"Or, y'know, she heard everything everyone was talking about here."
