I unfold a camping chair next to the edge of the pool and start watching the movies.

I pull get out of the pool, wrap myself in a blanket and fall asleep.

I walk around and grab my materials, then head into a secluded area.

I pull out a large straw and start drinking smoothie from the pool.

I pull off my gasmask and tear out the drug components. I stuff them into my bag, which I remove and throw into the pool. "I'm quitting drugs. All of them. Every single drug."

"Even ones for medicinal use?"

 

[Paddy the Second]

I dust my hands. "Our healthcare is literally 'you will come back to life'. I don't have anything to worry about. And when(if) I leave the mall ill have no problem taking medicine. I was using drugs colloquially to refer to substances taken for recreational purposes."

"Yup." I take off my boots and tip detritus into the pool. "I was never actually addicted to them. It was just fun and there weren't any negative consequences the mall couldn't fix." I put my boots back on. "Been a while since I did that."
