Mall Fight RP: (CLOSED) (FINISHED)

I move to a row of seats at the back of the auction hall and sit down in the shadows. I take out a scope and my Gauss rifle, then set the rifle up on the back of a chair. I slot the scope onto the attachment rail on the top and take aim at Sage's head, adjusting the scope every so often to get a better shot.
I keep my finger next to the activation button until I get the shot lined up.

 

[RaNDM G]

"No takers?"

You hear muttering in the crowd. A hand raises.

[small]"Three."[/small]

"Three for three hundred. Excellent, Sir."

"I'll take the last seven."

"Well, that settles it. No need to get out of your seats just yet. We still have one more slot to fill before tonight's main showing."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

I slow my breathing as the scope crosshairs line up with Sage's head. I pause for a second, then aim slightly below his right shoulder.
My finger hovers over the small button, ready to press it at a moment's notice.

 

[Knife-28]

I tackle Trilby, knocking him and the gauss rifle to the floor. "Dude. Calm. The fuck. Down."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"I was actually very calm. I was waiting for him to bring out the door. And I was just going to injure him. Nothing a good doctor couldn't fix. Then, I was going to demand he give us the door. It's not a perfect plan, but I did sort of improvise it when Zombie jacked the freaking tank."

 

[MinimanZombie]

I sit down backstage and set up a group chat with everyone.
"So, I think this is going well. We've scared off a shit ton of the competition, Paddy has potentially stopped trying to sabotage us, and no one has actually murdered or injured the Auctioneer. All is going according to plan."

 

[Knife-28]

"Exactly, what makes you think we can't just buy it legally Trilby?"

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"Mostly Zombie spending a shitload of our money on a gun."

 

[Knife-28]

"Ahem."
I look up to see Knife standing there, arms crossed across his chest. "I'm sorry if I'm interrupting you two, but, for your information, I can back you guys up if you need funds."

 

[RaNDM G]

"Gentlemen. Ladies. I know you're asking yourselves how tonight can possibly get any better than this. Well, I think I have just the thing."

You take a case from the back and open it to the audience.

"This is our most priceless artifact, dating back circa 1934. A Gibson Super 400, in the same condition it was manufactured in. 'The biggest, fanciest, and most expensive archtop ever built.' Every part of the instrument but the strings were manufactured and engraved by hand. The varnished maple body gives it a distinct sound. This is one of the last 400's left. It's safe to say this could be worth upwards of fifty million."

You shed a tear of joy just by holding it, as if you had reunited with an old friend.

"We'll start at four hundred boonbucks."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

I think for a moment.
"Never mind. I think I have a plan which involves significantly less murdering. Almost no murdering, in fact. How good are you two at making small talk?"

 

[Knife-28]

"How good are you at sitting on your ass and just letting us go ahead with the plan we already have." Knife snaps back while I glance at the Super 400 on stage.

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"Not very good, unsurprisingly."
I kick Knife in the stomach, pick up my rifle, then sit down.

 

[Saltarius]

"...They can't use our own tactic against us!"

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"What tactic would that be? Bidding?"

 

[Saltarius]

"Telling everyone that that is the big show end item! That was our thing!"

 

[Knife-28]

"Look, Trilby, if the shit hits the fan then you have my expressed permission to do whatever you want to do with that rifle, but for the moment let's just stick to the plan we have, ok?" Knife says.

 

[Paddy the Second]

I respawn in the Corvette. "Artie?" I call out. "Are you there?" I type a random series of numbers into a console. "Convert those into a set of co-ordinates and tell me about the nearest planet. Please."

 

[Saltarius]

"Five hundred!"
