"Uh... what was that about nightmarish creatures from beyond the darkest corners of our imaginations? Because my imagination goes to some pretty dark places." I say. "Then again, I assume the loot would scale with the level of unspeakable horror you face, so that's good."

"Well, the amount of loot and it's power is questionable at best."
We land on the safety mat at the bottom of the shaft.
"Man, good thing we had this installed after last time."

I stand up, brush some dust off myself. The two repulsors on my goggles start glowing, like two small, bright, torches.

I run over to a nearby chest and loot it most vigorously., and find a Jagged Contraption of Metal and Charisma.

 

[Saltarius]

"Jokes on all of you. I can't even see."

 

[MinimanZombie]

A colossal wasp appears.
"That's a little sub par, don't you think?"
The wasp, instead of just stinging us, shoots darts at us.
"That's a bit better...I guess..."

 

[Saltarius]

"AW FUCK, A SENTIENT DART GUN."

 

[RaNDM G]

"Y'know, I asked you a question."

"Tried."

"Well what'll happen to my quest if I do?"

It keeps going. It ends however you want, although you won't gain your title if you make a mess out of everything.

 

[Saltarius]

"POINT IS I ASKED A QUES-Wait, how the fuck can I hear her and how could she possibly hear me?"

"Sorry, what?" I ask, having been walking past Sister as she spoke.

 

[Saltarius]

"Maybe there's like...a comm system that goes both ways down here."

Yeah, sure, let's go with that.

"Seriously Salt. What did you want to ask me?"

 

[Saltarius]

"I wanted to ask you out. Currently, this is kind of a bad time to say this given we're dicking around in the sub-basements."

I use Salt as a meatshield, then fire my repulsor-goggles at the giant wasp.
