On the day of the California court hearing as well...just great.
Well what, are they going to argue for a R rating for Madden? If that's the case, the cheerleaders better be topless and I better be able to pull Tom Brady's spine out if I sack him hard enough.

OT: Fucking. Idiots. These guys better get a nice life sentence for these actions. Giving a friend a punch for using an overpowered team all the time is one thing, this is just asinine. These people don't deserve any rights at all, and when they tell their story at Leavenworth, I hope Bubba gives them the proper introduction.

Also, how the hell did he cheat in Madden, if that's what the police are claiming? The only cheats I remember for that game are the ones that make players heads tiny, or let you play as the mascots. And I doubt an entire team of Jackson De Ville's was demoralizing enough to achieve total victory.
No but they can be like "See! Proof video games are teh evils!" even though it's kinda away from what they where gonna do...I didn't put much thought into it.

I am sick of these godamned jackoffs furthering the stereotype of modern gamers. The friggin' court case isn't even halfway through and people are already killing others for no reason.

If they were willing to kill some one for cheating then I think they have bigger problems then what can be blamed on video games. Though it seems Madden is more serious business then I previously thought. Still, killing over cheating, worse I ever got was a joypad over the head from my brother. What happened to the good ol'days where gamers were mildly sane.

If it's not clear why they were fighting to begin with, why do you have to make the video game connection?

Perhaps I'm missing something from having not played Madden, but how can someone cheat if its on splitscreen?

It could have been revealed that one of them had been shagging the other's girlfriend behind their back, and that this was let slip whilst they were playing. Or, you know, for any other 100s of reasons.

Even if it was because of someone supposedly cheating, I don't see how that's much different from the violence you get in football, or the wrath that's induced when forced to watch an episode of Glee.

See, this is why i play 95% of all my games alone...or if its multiplayer, i make damn sure that the other person is in another location to me.

I wonder if Steeler's Defenseman James Harrison will be blamed for this.

in all seriousness, its going ot be interesting if critics decide to pick a fight with this game and say it causes violence, because thats basically challenging the NFL since they put their name on this.

This is a classic example of how Charles Darwin continues to be proven right. Seriously the "you have got to be kidding me"s and facepalms will now be nonstop for the next 5 minutes.

holy shit how messed up are some people in the world! some people just kill over the very slightest of things and this really confuses me terribly...

They were friends (supposedly) and they beat him to death with a sledgehammer because he cheated on a video game?! Seriously how bad do your parents have to be for this to happen...

Oh those video games... They are all making us violent, and they fry the brains of our children. They should be banished at onc-

*Shotgun blast*

Sorry, my house got infected with those 'Games are bad' activists again. Gotta go to prepare some booby traps in my room.

The removal of Pat Summerall is to blame. If his soothing voice was present, none of this would have happened.

I guess we could say the killer was Madden.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHH

OT: What the hell? Seriously, some people are barbarians. The very, very worst you'd imagine over a person cheating in a game (is that even possible with a splitscreen Madden...?) is some kind of severe injury -- and even then the other person would have to be a nutcase -- but actual murder? And these people were meant to be friends? Jesus Christ.

Luke German? Is that his real name? Man that's a kickass artist's name.

He must have had mad skillz in Madden for his friends to get angry like that or maybe he was really cheating (is that even possible in a local Madden match?).

Or, hey, maybe it was just a gang mentality and normal human anger that led to the beatdown. Anyway, kickass name.

For some reason this reminds me of this:

Oh wow thank your for that I almost pissed myself what the fuck did they expect to happen.

OT:Wow I got nothing after that just idiots who should have there seed wiped from the earth plain and simple. Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna watch that video about three more times.

Let it be known...any political person with power should know that this incident did not happen because of videogame violence but for the simple fact... that foot ball is violent...if you want to blame anyone for this blame football!!!
You mean besides the 3 dudes who beat him to death.
