I don't understand this.

What was his though process at the time?
I mean, honestly...
I can see why he did it. Probably a combination of bravado and wanting to do something original.

That doesn't stop it, and him, from being totally fucking stupid.

What was he thinking would happen? I really hope that this road was near a river and he was going to try to jump across alligators after he passed the road.

But seriously, no one was blaming video games for this. Why are you guys being upset with nothing? Everyone is making fun of people for blaming video games even though no one even blamed them in the first place.

And that in itself wouldn't have stopped his thought process from being somewhere along the lines of:

Originality? How? Frogger! In Life! Cars not a problem! I will succeed! Go! *splat*.

I don't know what surprises me more:

1) It took almost 30 years for someone to do this.
2) Someone was inspired by Frogger and actually DID it.
3) Someone inspired by Frogger did it and it was on the NEWS.
4) That Darwin has somehow failed me.
People have done this before and actually dressed the part.

Five bucks says he gets an honorable mention in the Darwin Awards.

Also, I feel slightly more embarrased to be human now.

I always joke at a busy intersection, "want to play some Frogger?" But no one actually GOES.

The driver of the vehicle does not face any charges.
He had damn well better not. It's not his fault some dipshit decided to go play in traffic. In fact he should be filing charges against the idiot for damages to his vehicle (no reason his insurance rates should have to go up over this), and to have him fixed so he cannot breed if he hasn't done so yet.

Of course, watch as Fox News, or maybe even Jack Thompson will crawl out of the woodwork, to blame Frogger for this instead of the guy just being a fucking idiot.

Darwin didn't fail you, the SUV driver did.
