Yahtzee sure has been busy lately. I hope he reviews Uncharted 2 sometime. I really want to hear another take on games being more cinematic.

Ahhh, plane travels. If you're not drunk and/or hallucinating after 10 hours sitting on a tight seat between two fat and smelly people, you're doing it wrong.
I find periodic trips to the toilet for a wank eased the suffering. Having said that Houston to Heathrow is 8 hours. It could change once you break the 10 hour barrier.

This article reminded me of some of Hunter S. Thompson's articles in a good way.
Heh, absolutely. Perhaps it's time for Yahtzee to venture into the realms of fiction- Mario and Luigi on a drug-fueled search for the American dream in Vegas? "We were somewhere around Bowzer's Castle on the edge of the desert when the mushrooms began to take hold..."

"English food is "cuisine" in the same way jerking off with both hands is a 'menage a trois.'"

AH-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Yahtzee is fucking hilarious!

Kind of liked the Disney-esque pic of the Bros too.

And Yahtzee, if my experience holds; any small child, regardless of what public place they go to, will probably be surrounded by at least two or three people that despise small children. I think it's less you hating small children than it is the fact that small children are really annoying and actually quite ugly.

All in all, not a bad read.

Extra Punctuation: Mario & Luigi

Can a Mario & Luigi RPG keep Yahtzee's attention during a 22 hour long flight?

Heh. That article ended in a very HST/Kerouac-esque manner didn't it! Good read.

I actually rather enjoyed this. Realised he was writing less and less as it went on, just suprised he kept going as much as he did. Good stuff.

Hahah. That was great. You should do more like this.

By the way, it may just be me, but did you intend to make it similar to the one journal from Resident Evil? It reminded me of it.

That one.

It is for this reason they need to remake the Concord. 22 hour hell becomes 4 hour luxurious smugfest due to being on a fucking Concord.

If you wanted to drag a Wii onboard, you might want to look here: http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/19/the-wii-laptop/
The same guy, Ben Heckendorm, who built this has also done the x360 and both the regular and slim ps3.
Although short of modding the n64 into a portable form, bringing a ds

Sorry, I posted before finishing it.
"bringing a ds would probably be the next best thing, even with the lower graphics quality (referencing the Mario 64 discussion earlier)."

First of all: You start of as Yoshi and you unlock Mario, Luigi and Wario one by one
Secondly: They added a lot of bunnies - which sadly are less fun to hunt for than the ones in the original.
Thirdly: There are seven stars (+100 coins) per world
4: They made some new power-ups
5: They changed some of the stars
6: They added some extra stars
But most importantly: They totally messed up the control mechanics, thus making the game a frustration to play. You need to hold down a dash button to run at what was normal speed in the N64 version, which makes it harder to use the jump button and attack button. Also, when you dash (a.k.a run at normal speed) you can't turn as fast. Though some of the new stuff is good, the controls ruin the whole expirience. The graphics are somewhat improved, but some places they seem wrong. Bowser don't look scary as you are fighting him in the final boss fight.
The controls played intuitively for me. After SM64 pissed me off so much on the N64, the DS version was practically a dream. Maybe it's a YMMV thing, but I preferred the DS version. Plus, I got to play as Luigi instead of just Mario...Not for the same reason Yahtzee appears to like him...I just prefer green to red. And high jumps to...Whatever.

Yeah there is a point to Mario & Luigi having seperate buttons, certain battles, certain minigames and certain platform sequences are easier if you make the brothers jump one after the other. Also, it's kinda funny when Yahtzee says that no one bought a GBA even though it's ONE OF THE BEST SELLING HANDHELDS OF ALL TIME, the DS is the only handheld to outsell it!
