Not one mentions Mark Wahlberg in "Shooter". One the top 5 best movies I've ever seen. Watch shooter with an open mind then come back here.

Fillion has proven he plays a good suave treasure hunter type with lax morals in some areas, but also honor. He is also a good comedic actor, adding to the drake persona.
Basically Mal from firefly is to Drake. (metaphor)

Now Wallburg could do a spot on job but I have not seen him in a role such as this.

True, I'm just not sure he has the chops. He did a good job in angel, and is doing an okay job in Bones, but he is not as talented as Fillion or walberg.
