Martyrdom is a pain, and I'd like to see it changed, but the truth is I seldom get killed by it anymore. It's so pervasive I simply assume that anyone I shoot at is going to blow up. I either stand clear for a couple of seconds or run away as fast as I can. I know there are situations were it's bound to get a kill, you drop a guy in a tight area and aren't able to run fast enough you just get the shaft. The same way you get the shaft if you're walking down a hallway with a guy with a LMG parked at the far end. Like in all things skill only gets you so far, luck comes into play too.

As for Juggernaut and Stopping power, I know it's disappointing when you hit a guy and see that little red cross come up, but that's what stopping power is for. Not to mention it's nowhere near as pervasive as martyrdom. Martyrdom dicates the entire tempo of the game, juggernaut just requires you to pour a little more lead into someone.

Martyrdom is not that bad, but at least they are changing it. I want juggernaut to be changed. And by changed, I mean removed.

The kill streak awards should get rid of a need for martyrdom for new players. I hardly saw a bunch of new players using it. It is mainly the higher level players that seem to use martyrdom the most. I would be fine with it if it didn't go off after the player has already used the frag grenade, or gets headshoted.

If you hate it kill from further away,I always liked it that last "fuck you" to the guys that would just walk around stabbing people.

bloody nice I really did not like martyrdom. it was near impossible to run away from if you knifed someone.

It never bothered me all that much but I am enthralled IW is so closely listening to the community and changing things that are hated.

Nov. 11 cant come soon enough!

Even today, after a fire fight, soldiers will check to make sure enemies are "truly" dead while securing a area. The reason being is that some enemy soldiers will just "play dead" and detonate a device (grenade, plastic explosive, ect) to kill as many troops as possible.
If together with the Martyrdom perk there would be a perk which allows you to play dead that would be fine, it would actually be better that way, but you would only be able to use Martyrdom when you play dead. That way you can't get free kills since you used strategy (little that there is) and it would be a legitimate kill.

It's easy to avoid martydrom grenades. Can't belive people are arguing about it this much.

Its a principle thing. Loads of people hate that others can get rewarded for failing.

People hate many perks, but for the most part they all have some use, I dislike Juggernaut, but it at least still has players have to shoot me in return.

But martyrdom is a perk that only benefits you when you are the worse player and in most people's opinions deserve to lose. There is no skill involved on the martyrs part, its a perk that says "I am worse at this game than those I am playing against, please give me blind luck kills."

I hate it because of that, and there have been many occasions where the grenade indicator appears far too late to avoid it and sometimes not at all.

tell me how you avoid a grenade that was dropped by a guy that was killed 2 seconds ago as you walk around a corner.

you didn't kill the guy, hell, you probably didn't even know he was there. you are just there to suffer the fact that he gets a free kill from the perk.

I don't see the problem with Martrydom really. I mean it's a legitamate way to get kills, and you have a good chance to get away from it, so why complain?
Its when you get an unavoidable death. Enemies behind you, grenade from the guy you just killed infront of you.

If he didn't have Martyrdom, you'd survive. But he did, so you're forced to run through a grenade, and probably die (Especially in Hardcore)
