I can see this, mass effect 1 was nothing short of epic, and 2 can only make it better from what ive seen.
I hope so. I loved the first one and if they have improved on it and listened to the fans like they said. Im going to enjoy this! =D

BioWare has improved thier games steadily with each release, and I don't think I know a single person that *isn't* looking forward to this game.
what about those that dont have a good pc or 360?

i prefer ME to dragon age (although i havnt played through dragon age that far as only got it at x-mas among other games ive been waiting for.)
(i believe DA compared to ME is due to the effort being put into ME2 so im sure ME2 will be epic+1)

It will be the best game in the history of Bioware. Of that I have no doubt. Of course the fanboys of other bioware games will never EVER admit it because that would mean knocking their favorite game off the pedestal they've so carefully constructed for it.

I'm really looking forward to ME2. I've been keeping close watch on all updates since it was announced so here's to hoping this guy is true to his word.

It will be a good game, no doubt. But this coming from a PRODUCER doesn't really mean much. Their job is the money side of things and if he says this is the best game in the history of the world then all he is trying to do is get the game to sell more copies. He wants more money to make sure it makes a large profit to make up the deficit spent making the game so all this means is MORE ADVERTISING (we are all reading about Mass Effect 2 atm).
No no my friend, BioWare is the developer. In this case, EA is the publisher, but BioWare actually made the game.

Anyway, I liked Mass Effect, not as much as I hoped to actually. Everything outside the main quest was a bit meeh, and the game didn't reward exploration as I hoped it would. The combat wasn't very engaging either. It worked, but it didn't feel very cool. But BioWare says they're fixing all that, so that makes me pretty excited.

He's trolling, don't get your panties in a knot.
Ahh, right... I forgot about them. I was actually hoping for some reasonable debate...
I'm not trolling I'm just pointing out that Bioware games aren't particularly amazing so saying it's better than them isn't any sort of indication that the game wil be particularly outstanding.

Well I'm a person that isn't looking forward to it! So you can make a list starting with me. ^^

After some years in trying to get ME1, I finally bought it from steam this holiday for 4 Euros. And I must say...it was horrible. Sorry folks, no matter how good/awesome the storyline and characters are(and I believe in that)nothing will make me go through one of the worst combat systems I ever had to play.

It was just...bad. Coupled with some retarded partner AI, which I guarantee that they never take proper cover and really crap vehicle sections.

I noticed that they fixed the combat in ME2, but meh, Bioware kinda lost me in this franchise, if I had paid more I would feel kinda ripped off.xP

I admit I didn't get to the ending,(or even half way probably) but I extremely doubt that the gameplay changes in a drastic way till the end, and for me the gameplay is just to bad to get the cool story.

I doubt it'll beat Baldur's Gate 2.

But I'll be happy if they're close.
Pretty much this.
Nothing can beat the Baldur's Gate Saga. Nothing.
But I don't doubt this will be excellent.
Duh! It's Bioware!

From what I've seen, this is an experience that's been polished to a mirror shine.

And seeing as there's no other awesome looking RPGs coming out this year, well, this is going to be a day one buy for me.

This is the game that I will happily rub in the faces of all of my PS3 owning friends... mainly because most of them don't own gaming PC's :).

I never beat Baldur's gate 2 but I enjoyed what I did do more than Mass Effect. I wonder what the next Bioware RPG will be after this.

TOR, I would guess.

Or ME3/DA2 I suppose, though I should think TOR will be out first.

It's funny, I'm trying for a second time (really, really trying) to play Mass Effect and I have to say the only thing I find remotely enjoyable is the combat. And that's not even saying it's good.

I also hate having to constantly manage and distribute loot amongst my squad. Does ME2 do away with this? (No, of course not because that's 75% of any Bioware game.)

Well that is possible... however unlikely.
I really loved Mass Effect one, but the best BioWare game for me (as probably for some people who commented on me, but duh, I'm not gonna check it) is Kotor.
It wasn't perfect, and I saw through the twist the time *spoiler'd*, but it was just... awesome.
Oh, and I didn't like Dragon Age too much. It was kinda overhyped. And the story had "generic" written all over it.
Someone should remake Planescape: Torment.
Blah blah blah.

*Fangirlish squeek* Must...Repair gaming rig... Procure cold beverages and wedge shaped corn snacks... Also modify my chair into a toilet and bed...

Seriously though, i'm quite sure this might be the best game in the history of Bioware. If someone can make a near perfect game, it's Bioware.

For me, I doubt it will be more enjoyable than Neverwinter Nights. But it will still be one of the best games of 2010. Bioware is a company that usually delivers what it promises.

Whenever a company says something about their game like "its the best title to be released EVVVVVEEERRRRR" then I usually going through it and nit-pick it's imperfections. Because I don't like when companies do that because it really sets the bar high and if they don't meet it, well, then people everywhere are disappointed. Thats a pretty high bar too given the history of bioware games.

i think it will, i saw the add for the pre order for ME2, and i couldent stop laughing, and the fact that your story will carry over from ME1, which i have never heard of befor, ive heard of levels passing over (Dot Hack) but not story elements.
