To the OP: I thought in Lair of the Shadowbroker that one of the terminals mentions that Wilson was an agent for the Shadowbroker ordered to sabotage the Lazarus project or something similar to that.

Yep, a follow up on the Ashley/Kaidan storyline is pretty much guaranteed at this point, especially after 'Lair of the Shadow Broker'.

You rang?

But seriously, I just can't be bothered all that much anymore. I mean what's the point? I mean one guy here proudly just announced that he 'renegaded' Ashley simply for saying that she believes in god, which frankly, is hardly a justified reason to lash out with anger at someone. What's the point of arguing with someone with that kind of angry viewpoint?

I mean to be completely and totally honest with you, these days when I see some of the stuff people accuse Ashley of, I freaking laugh. Because it's ridiculous to see how far people are ready to overstate Ashley's stance on aliens to make her sound like some kind of crazy Neo Nazi conservative, when really her attitude regarding aliens is more in line with that of a cynical realist. It's incredible to see people stand up and spend hours accusing Ashley of being 'bigotted' and 'close minded' and then doing a full one eighty and spouting hatred for her on the basis of having her merely religious beliefs.

I post on the Bioware Social Network, where more and more people seem to be aware of exactly what stance Ashley has on aliens and how far it really does go. After hearing a prolonged discussion about Ashley's stance in a proper light with people who know what the hell they are saying (and for that matter, can spell) suddenly seeing the occassional person scream:
"ASHLEY IS THE RACIST NEO NAZI KU KLUX KLAN RALLYING REDNECK WHO IS ALSO AN INSANE RELIGIOUS FANATIC!"
Just turns around and just becomes silly.

So yeah, it annoys me but these days it's getting harder and harder to actually be concerned about the opinions of haters. I already did a massive rant on the whole 'anti-fans' thing in a thread a while back and it holds just as true for specific characters as it does games. It's annoying and it's stupid but sadly no amount of argument can cure rabid internet overreactions, so I'm not going to let it bother me anymore.

Let 'em hate. At the end of the day it's them or are being immature here and if I can rise above it then I'm proud of myself.

Sorry if I offended you, or anyone else reading, this is just my opinion and I meant no offence.

For what it's worth I don't hold a grudge against people who dislike Ashley in general (I know she's not everyone's cup of tea), just the people who present their arguments so ridiculously.

Yeah I know, but the Illusive Man just bugs me a lot. It could be fabricated or something. Come on Bioware, give us some nice twists.

Isn't the final DLC planned to bridge the gap between 2 and 3?

I wish they wouldn't put so much out - DLC is essentially the only thing BioWare is bad at. The Shadow Broker one would have been decent, had it not been released months after the main game, and containing stuff that would have been interesting to use during the main game.
Months! Hmm... I must have missed the part where developing content for games didn't take as much time as it used to.
It's about 2 hours worth of gameplay. That hardly requires months.
Ok, I'll back off. You obviously know more about game development than me. I mean, it's not like LotSB was the first ever DLC. Yeeeaaaah... They also weren't working on DA2 and ME3 either. And you know what I'll pretend that DA:O didn't have DLC!

Really!?

All mere speculation (and therefor inadmisable in a court of law) however maybe something involving Ashley/Kaiden or probably something that's playable after the main mission and leads up to ME3, like...I dunno taking out the Illusive Man and taking over Cerebus? Although they already did that with the Shadow Broker DLC so I suppose that would be boring but Shep will have to deal with him right? Better sooner rather than Reaper yes?

They stick smaller teams on DLC duty - the Mass Effect 3 team is not the Dragon Age 2 team, and neither of those are the ME2 DLC team.

The Illusive man has a few loose ends tied up in the Retribution novel.
I love to see someone else who cares enough for a game to read a book based off of it!
I'm very, very, VERY into Mass Effect lol.

I even made a song about Commander Shepard. I'll be posting it here soon
Oh, I can't wait to see that! ;3 I'm sure it will be awesome, they usually are.

I read that the next DLC titled "Arrival" is filling the gap between ME2 to ME3, so it looks like we are going to see the reapers arrival in Mass Effect 2. Theres also two other DLC's coming titled "Last Stand" and "Covert Action". I cant wait to see what they have in store for us this time. Looks like i'll have to replay ME a couple more times

I'm just glad it won't be another costume pack. I am really tired of those. So long as it's as interesting as the other story DLC, I'll be forking over another $15 to Bioware I suspect.

Dude... you better hope Jenova doesn't see this. ;)

I want to see something Turian based. I love the turians, they're probably my favorite alien race in the game and the only one we ever get to interact with for extended periods of time is Garrus! Who, by the way, is only getting more cool as the series progresses.
If they dont give us a DLC letting us go to the Turians home world they better let us go there in the 3rd one.

I've been around, I think we've just been posting at opposite times. I do make an effort to look for your posts in the threads I'm in though. :)

And DA2, played the demo yesterday. Pretty damn solid. The rogue is so bad ass, jumping around like one of those freaky spiders I hate. I think I'm going to enjoy the combat quite a bit more this go around.

Ya it was great! Still butt-ugly though, pity that. And what's with the damn watermelon boobs everywhere. And was it me or do the enemies seem to sponge a lot more hits this time? That Ogre battle was quite the challenge.

your almost completely right but i believe last stand and covert action are just achievements you get in the Arrival DLC one of which involves saving a doctor who was recently mentioned in the Cerberus news feed

I actually thought it looked much better. Put DA:O in your system. I think you'll see what I mean. It's not beautiful mind you, but it is improved.

Watermelon boobs, funny you should mention that. I just posted about that in another thread.

I died as a bad ass rogue in the Ogre battle and ended up running away as the mage lady trying to revive my people. Yes, the ogre was much more difficult. I started a new game in DA:O yesterday, and had no problem dispatching that first ogre, and I was like, level 3. Hopefully we won't see too many of those guys.

Hee hee, and Flemeth. Her new design is hilarious to me.

I'm no fan of Ashley nor Kaiden. The former is aggressively unlikeable, the latter entirely dull. But if people demand it, sure, go ahead. I'll be paying more attention to the bits I like anyways. To be honest, though, I'm not sure I can be arsed to get this last DLC you're talking about. I'd have to intrigue me, deliver something special.

Well DOA looked like complete poo to my eyes so even another ugly game would be better looking than it :D

At least they've gotten rid of that nasty reddish brown dried-blood hue everywhere.

What ever the DLC is I know it will be important plot wise.

But what I want to see in it is.

1. Female Krogan
2. Female Turians
3. Female Salarians
4. Female Drell

I mean apparently the only races that have 2 genders are human, Quarians and Rachni.

Biowhare you guys need to address this.

And they still have that nutty looking persistent gore that looks as if you stumbled in between Jackson Pollock and his canvas.

I swear, in one scene it actually looks as if Pollock took a brush of red paint and smeared it across your nose. It has the bristle strokes and everything.
