Well DOA looked like complete poo to my eyes so even another ugly game would be better looking than it :D

At least they've gotten rid of that nasty reddish brown dried-blood hue everywhere.
And they still have that nutty looking persistent gore that looks as if you stumbled in between Jackson Pollock and his canvas.

I swear, in one scene it actually looks as if Pollock took a brush of red paint and smeared it across your nose. It has the bristle strokes and everything.
Lol so true.... even the title screens are drenched in red goo

I like the idea of the gore effect, they just aren't doing it right.

They need to watch like, the opening scene of Gladiator or something. Maybe they watched the special effects of Spartacus. That would explain a lot.

Yeah, it kinda sucks me out of the game when characters are talking covered in blood. It just spreads itself so evenly and liberally over their whole bodies....

I know I'm not the only one who ever did this, but sometimes I would take my people into a fight naked just before a cutscene, all so I could see them in their skivvies covered in red speckles.

It was an amusing way to pass the time seeing as how looking at those weird plasticine faces with strange wooden teeth got old after a while.

an idea i read here while skimming this page was that Kaiden or Ashley should become a SPECTER to hunt you down, after all you did
set a bomb of on that planet for Jack, found data on the Genophage cure, have a Geth party member, attacked a prison ship. among other things
and you could then talk them out of it and convince them to join you in prep for ME3 and the convo will be effected by the fact you might have "cheated" on them, missions based on them following you up, them a big showdown, you'll either have to kill them, part ways, or have them join you.

I know. But you gotta keep it fresh. I played that game far more than I should have. Though not nearly as much as I played ME2 since the DA DLC was pretty lame for the most part.

Which reminds me... this last DLC is a good excuse to go through ME2 again.

I started a new Shepard but then I thought maybe it's better to wait until ME3 is about to come out and do a playthrough of both games...

That's my plan. Playing those 2 game will probably be the only thing that will keep me from tearing out my hair in anticipation.

I can't believe both Skyrim and ME3 will be coming out so close together. I'm going to have to pace myself.

I know... and Gears 3 the month before. Too much win for one year!

Ooh, forgot about Gears 3. I do believe the gaming gods are conspiring against my wallet.

Not only that, but I'm sure the Extra Special Super Cool Edition of ME3 will have something I can't live without. Like a Krogan bust.

Blast these video game companies and their foul, irresistible products.

I played ME2 first, and got ME on mon. When going through ME2, I always imagined Ashley to be a heroic, noble and awesome. During gameplay, I went for Tali in Romance side quests, and now playing ME, I decided I'd have ashley and tali in my squad.

From what I've gathered so far, Ashley is a alien hater, and the way she talks to liara and Tali is harsh. The only reason I saved her is because Kaiden has about as much of an emotional character as a dandilion. Also he looked like something out of thunderbirds which was wierd for me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I just cant see why ppl are like "ooo, ashley, be mine in ME3"

EDIT: Oh yeah and more DLC would be kinda cool, but how could TIM be responcible for Sheps death? (unless he worked for the Collectors, which would be a big plothole)

Well the first edition I got was the 'Gears Of War 2: No JourneyThroughHell Screaming In Your Ear During Co-op' version, so that might explain it.
I didn't scream. All I did was try to snark the game to the point that it would actually realize how much it pissed me off.

Weren't you the one to get all sad and offended everytime I charged into locust swarms and got my ass kil- Oh.

Did everyone besides me get a Gears of War 2: Good Edition?
Well, I'll admit it's no Castle Crashers... ;)

I also hope ME3 has a little more action on Earth. Hopefully the trailers aren't just blowin smoke and are really an indication of where some of the action will take place

Well.

CC is really good for its genre. You could say the genre itself is not exactly my thing, but, in coop, I'm enjoying the game.

I'm enjoying Gears in coop, too, but that mostly has to do with the genre, not the game.

Oh, and the coop teammate.

Miracle is a good teammate. He's not good if he's your enemy. Say in Halo. Where he kicks my ass. And then giggles about it. In a manly way, mind you, but it is giggling nonetheless.

I like Gears for the co-op and the genre. Though, the co-op in Gears the first was much better - the levels had a more interesting design to me.

He wasted my Care Package once.

Decided that it would be not good for him to take my Care Package with a HIND CHOPPER inside, so he waited for me to respawn and promptly gave it to the enemy.

Good teammate.

Yeah.
