Lol so true.... even the title screens are drenched in red goomeganmeave said:And they still have that nutty looking persistent gore that looks as if you stumbled in between Jackson Pollock and his canvas.MiracleOfSound said:Well DOA looked like complete poo to my eyes so even another ugly game would be better looking than it
At least they've gotten rid of that nasty reddish brown dried-blood hue everywhere.
I swear, in one scene it actually looks as if Pollock took a brush of red paint and smeared it across your nose. It has the bristle strokes and everything.
I like the idea of the gore effect, they just aren't doing it right.MiracleOfSound said:Lol so true.... even the title screens are drenched in red goo
Yeah, it kinda sucks me out of the game when characters are talking covered in blood. It just spreads itself so evenly and liberally over their whole bodies....meganmeave said:I like the idea of the gore effect, they just aren't doing it right.MiracleOfSound said:Lol so true.... even the title screens are drenched in red goo
They need to watch like, the opening scene of Gladiator or something. Maybe they watched the special effects of Spartacus. That would explain a lot.
I know I'm not the only one who ever did this, but sometimes I would take my people into a fight naked just before a cutscene, all so I could see them in their skivvies covered in red speckles.MiracleOfSound said:Yeah, it kinda sucks me out of the game when characters are talking covered in blood. I know. But you gotta keep it fresh. I played that game far more than I should have. Though not nearly as much as I played ME2 since the DA DLC was pretty lame for the most part.MiracleOfSound said:LOL you big perv.meganmeave said:I know I'm not the only one who ever did this, but sometimes I would take my people into a fight naked just before a cutscene, all so I could see them in their skivvies covered in red speckles.
It was an amusing way to pass the time seeing as how looking at those weird plasticine faces with strange wooden teeth got old after a while.
I started a new Shepard but then I thought maybe it's better to wait until ME3 is about to come out and do a playthrough of both games...meganmeave said:Which reminds me... this last DLC is a good excuse to go through ME2 again.
That's my plan. Playing those 2 game will probably be the only thing that will keep me from tearing out my hair in anticipation.MiracleOfSound said:I started a new Shepard but then I thought maybe it's better to wait until ME3 is about to come out and do a playthrough of both games...meganmeave said:Which reminds me... this last DLC is a good excuse to go through ME2 again.
I know... and Gears 3 the month before. Too much win for one year!meganmeave said:That's my plan. I can't believe both Skyrim and ME3 will be coming out so close together. I'm going to have to pace myself.
Ooh, forgot about Gears 3. I do believe the gaming gods are conspiring against my wallet.MiracleOfSound said:I know... and Gears 3 the month before. Too much win for one year!

Did everyone besides me get a Gears of War 2: Good Edition?meganmeave said:snip
Well the first edition I got was the 'Gears Of War 2: No JourneyThroughHell Screaming In Your Ear During Co-op' version, so that might explain it.JourneyThroughHell said:MiracleOfSound said:snipDid everyone besides me get a Gears of War 2: Good Edition?meganmeave said:snip
I didn't scream. All I did was try to snark the game to the point that it would actually realize how much it pissed me off.MiracleOfSound said:Well the first edition I got was the 'Gears Of War 2: No JourneyThroughHell Screaming In Your Ear During Co-op' version, so that might explain it.
Well, I'll admit it's no Castle Crashers...JourneyThroughHell said:MiracleOfSound said:snipDid everyone besides me get a Gears of War 2: Good Edition?meganmeave said:snip

Miracle is a good teammate. He's not good if he's your enemy. Say in Halo. Where he kicks my ass. And then giggles about it. In a manly way, mind you, but it is giggling nonetheless.JourneyThroughHell said:Well.
CC is really good for its genre. You could say the genre itself is not exactly my thing, but, in coop, I'm enjoying the game.
I'm enjoying Gears in coop, too, but that mostly has to do with the genre, not the game.
Oh, and the coop teammate.
He wasted my Care Package once.meganmeave said:Miracle is a good teammate. He's not good if he's your enemy. Say in Halo. Where he kicks my ass. And then giggles about it. In a manly way, mind you, but it is giggling nonetheless.
I like Gears for the co-op and the genre. Though, the co-op in Gears the first was much better - the levels had a more interesting design to me.
