So Garrus is back. That's good. I'd rather have Wrex, but I'll gladly settle for Garrus. That is assuming, of course, that they improved his AI from the first game, which was atrocious.

Okay, I'll admit that I've been curious about this, but on the other hand it's been confirmed that I have both Garrus and Tali, and those two were my "running crew" for pretty much the entirety of the original game. Just toss in a cameo appearance from Wrex at some point and consider me happy.
hmm... Done!

He Goes back to the Krogan Homeworld and unites the Krogan people under Clan Urdnot. However, if Wrex *DIED*, then expect to be met with a rain of bullets when you go there instead of praise.

just in case a lot of people who wanted to see it missed it last time i posted it.
Gee, thanks for spoiling that for me. I really appreciate it...
I spoiler tagged it! You were warned and you clicked anyway! 'tis you're own doing. ^_^

Apparently Shepard's death in ME2 will be 'an obvious choice', just so you don't get yourself killed accidentally.
Gee, do you really think so? I'm not so sure it will just be as plain and simple as choosing (Everyone dies-O-Everyone lives) (I was trying to make a choice wheel like in mass effect... oh well.)

Since I'm pretty sure these guys don't seem the type to all willingly go down together. I heard that that ending was for everyone to die as a result of screwing up.

The 'gee' makes be suspect sarcasm, but nonetheless; Yeah, Devs pretty much said that which I did, that you'll know if you're likely to get bumped off. Preusmably if you go off to the final mission and somebody comments about not being ready.

No, I wasn't being sarcastic, sorry. I debated on the Gee, I should have just gone with the usual "Hmm..." it's much harder to misconstrue for less than kind intent. I'm as honest as my avatar's smile! oh... wait... that sounded kind of sarcastic. Sorry, couldn't resist.

*ahem* Seriously now.
I think I see what you mean, but as far as "getting" your characters ready, I wonder how that will be gone about. Since they say the characters are the real heart of this chapter in Mass Effect, I expect a lot of time going into getting this rag-tag group to fall in line with Shepard. I'm thinking character sidequests, like getting Wrex's family armor,or charming him so he would remain completely loyal to shep on Virmire... instead of ending up with a bullet in him... T_T

Anyway, those are just some thoughts of mine... and really, i'm not being sarcastic, it just is hard to convey through text.

It would be great it you could provide pictures too, as I'm feeling particularly lazy.

But hopefully the rest of the characters are more interesting than Grunt/Subject whatever.

xD, don't tempt me, i love finding pictures, lol. But I'll give you something nearly as good.

http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Characters

this wiki is a good database of all things Mass Effect, and has pictures of all the characters confirmed as party members so far.

Ah, much obliged.

Characters definitely look pretty interesting so far (except for Subject Zero and Grunt, but I digress....)

OH. I just found this, will also add this to my original post after.

I just found an open sitdown between the bioware team and some folks, so I figure this would be great for posting here.

WE WANT WREX!

EDIT: I DIDN'T READ THE OTHER POSTS!
Glad to know you at least bothered to tell me you didn't care, lol. ^_^

Anyway, one of the questions talked about Tali as a possible love interest... and it was responded to as such...
__________________________________
CaseyH-ME2: In ME1 Tali was kind of a young character, on her "pilgrimage", so she wasn't a love interest option. One cool thing ME1 players will notice is that the characters they know and love from the first game have grown up and moved on a bit. Tali is more mature now. We were surprised to see how many people were interested in her as a love interest, given that she wore a mask, was an alien, and as one of our team members said, she had "chicken feet". Will she take things further with you? There's a great story there, but I won't spoil it for you!

so to those of you who were out there wondering about that... you just might be in luck! ^_^

It seems that all the old characters come back (except the dead one) but aren't going to be a part of your squad apart from Tali and Garrus.

Hmm, this has me wondering what happens at the start of the game so that they don't be a part of your squad. I hope that Bioware doesn't drop a bridge on them just to get em out of the way for a new bunch of characters. I liked Liara and Wrex.

The tenth character is probably Legion as others have mentioned, should be cool.
From what I understand, everyone thinks Shepard is dead for a couple years, then you just happen to run into Tali on Freedom's Progress [http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Freedom%27s_Progress] (basically this game's Eden Prime), then Garrus on Omega. [http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Omega]

What about Prodigy? For those have seen the Cinematic Trailer remember that part where there's like a cryo (cuz I don't know what to call it) chamber with a bunch of guards around it and then the guy blast them with Biotics? Or is that just Samara cleverly disguised?
That was Subject Zero.

I don't care what anybody says; Garrus is, and always will be, the most bad-ass character ever.
Indeed. As long as he's around there's no need for other squad members.

OH MY GOD! Garrus is recruitable!?! This game just keeps getting better.
He's a bit underpowered at first but once you level him up and give him some decent armour and an assault rifle watch him go to work. Him and Wrex are the two characters I have to hold back during more stategic moments as they charge in boots first and guns blazing.

You should take a look at the links I posted. I've known a lot of this stuff already, and preordered the game at the begining of the month... yet somehow after reading them, im even MORE EXCITED THAN EVER BEFORE TO PLAY IT! ^________________^

Off Topic question about ME2. So the devs are saying that you can use your ME1 file to start your 2nd game. This meaning if you
killed the council. they will be dead in the 2nd
(basically what you did in the first game influences how the 2nd one will play out.)

So anyone know if people who use ME1 toons will have a level/skill advantage over fresh toons or if you have multiple toons if you can pick which one you want to play first?

And I'll always be redundant.
Garrus always dies when I have him with me ¬_¬
How?! I've played through a good 6 or 7 times and he's never died, I didn't think it was possible.
His first armour blows so his shields are basically gone the second he takes a hit and then if you don't beat the enemies fast that's the rest of his health gone too. God knows when I'm supposed to find some good armour that he'll actually wear. I've done the missions on Feros and Noveria and still not come across any armour for him. As for Wrex, he's a unstoppable.

Well by toons, I assume you mean Shepards. Yes, from what I've read, having beaten the first game, shepard will gain bonus skill points for starting in ME2, more and more from 40, 50, and 60. However, levels and items do not transfer. But for all our hard work, we are not entirely hung out to dry.
