Mass Effect: Arrival Arrives Later This Month

I wish they still did proper expansions for games. Since I don't have my ME2 saves anymore, It would be a drag to start it again just so I can see how the game ends for reals this time.

ME 2 did end. This is more like the beginning of ME3 from what I heard.

I created a new shepard from scratch, started mass effect and currently doing all missions including BDTS and Pinnecle Station, which are awesome but making sure i dont miss anything at all so i can import it to mass effect 2. This shepard is my renegade shepard the other one is my paragon that is 100% done with both games well atleast until the dlc comes out. Now not reguarding you but all the people whining about the cost of the dlc get over it. Either buy it or dont, being cheap isnt adding to this.

$7 is 1/10th the price I paid for the Collector's Edition, but I have the feeling this will not have 1/10th the content. While I don't mind DLC (except for what's on disc or day/week 1 DLC), I can't defend their pricing. This sort of thing feels more like wallet pecking than valuable added content.

You know, I really feel like the shadow broker DLC was well worth the money. If this is bigger and better than that, the I belive it will be worth themoney too.

Better to decide after you've played it, rather than to assume before it's even out.

Incidentally, I gripe about the pricing, but I only wound up paying $2 for each DLC for this game (and it's the only time I bothered buying DLC, except when Bring Down the Sky went down to $1). At that price the DLC wasn't so bad. Lair would have felt like a ripoff at the full $10 because it wasn't a very satisfactory experience. Better than Stolen, about par with Overlord (I thought Overlord had a better story than the other two).

For the $1 outfit and gun DLC, sure, I'll agree they're wallet pecking. But compare the sizable Bioware DLC to that released by most other companies; I definitely think they hit the sweet spot for cost vs content.

And don't forget, they included a pretty good amount of content free when the game first released. I can't think of many other companies with the decency to say "we could charge you for this as DLC, but we reaaaaally wanted it in the original game, so we're giving it to you for FREE if you buy it new."

Hope it is decently long for 7 bucks. Granted biowares dlc has gotten much better since me1 (when they farmed it out to another company) nevermind the great "bridge" dlc for me1 that bridged absolutely nothing.

Oh man, Pinnacle Station was nothing short of a nightmare. It didn't do what it promised as you already mentioned, and as one of many Platinum Hits version owners of Mass Effect, I couldn't play it when it came out. I bought it, DL'd it, and then had to wait a month for a patch. Then after all that it was just some extremely bland fights and creepy smiles from Shepard. Worst DLC since Horse Armor if you ask me.

Nah, I have to give that award to Rockstar and their GTA IV DLC. Yes they were $20 at first, but they were actually worth $20 because of all the content that was packed in there. And now The Lost and Damned is only $10, at least on Xbox Live. Fuck Charlie Sheen, Rockstar is winning everywhere.

Dude, I'm wicked jealous, and I'm not even kidding. I've only begun my 3rd playthrough recently, and I'm freaking out because I want all my varied saved games ready for when ME3 comes out. And now they're giving me even more content, which adds 10 to the power of 3 more decision combinations to create saved games for!! Aggggggh!!!!

I disagree but that's all a matter of perspective and taste so it's not worth argueing.

Frankly, I haven't gotten any DLC. I don't really see this as a "late" DLC, but a DLC with an actual freaking reason. I'm not the type to replay an entire long game so I can take advantage of new mission arcs or new characters. But this DLC will apparently continue a little further after the end mission and actually adds something to the story, then I am all for it and will buy it on release day.

Kinda late to the ME2 DLC except for the free DLC and collectors edition DLC I got, but is the Lair of the Shadowbroker worth the money?

About Lair, well, that depends, if you had a past relationship with Liara and you are curious to see who the actual Shadowbroker is, then yes, it's worth it. Also, you get 4 or 5 hours worthy of gameplay and the story is actually quite decent.

BUT, I enjoyed Overlord a lot more and it's a lot longer.

I figured it would be out this month. After every other DLC (Kasumi, Overlord, and Shadow Broker) were revealed (either officially or unofficially, and how is the Dragon Age 2 insert not an official announcement?), they were released within 20-40 days. I finished a Mass Effect playthrough just two weeks ago in preparation for a run through Mass Effect 2 with this content.

Also, I always thought I was weird for feeling camaraderie towards Hackett. It seems I'm not the only one, though.
