Mass effect "hot" chicks

Allright so hear me out here.
I recently started playing mass effect 2 (i know i'm slow ) and have gotten reasonably far into the main story and overall it's quite an amazing game, but here's my issue.
At the beginning of the game when Miranda is introduced i see all the signs that they clearly want me to think she's some hot girl that i by all means would wan't to get into bed with. Problem is i think she is probably the most ugly thing in the game. I even felt pretty awkward when she was on about her looks being "superior" to others. Same goes with Ashley Grahams that you meet up with somewhere along the line. She just looks weird to me. I mean. I get that i am supposed to think these two are hot but i am finding it very hard to do so.

Anyone with me on this, or am i some weird twisted anomaly in the fanbas

Miranda is not hot. Jack is more attractive and she's bald. Tali is more attractive and you can't see her face.

By Ashley Grahms do you mean Ashley Williams? She isn't that bad. Not hot by video game standards, but she isn't ugly either.

The one thing that puzzles me about Miranda is her face. Everything else is good, but her face is pending between "ok" and "a brick must have hit her face". I couldn't care less about Ashley.

Then I hate her.

I think I'm probably biased though as the only people I could see myself being friends with is Garrus and Joker. Even Tali is a bit offputting with her attitude towards the Geth.

I kind of feel sorry for Jack but she has a gorgeous face reminds me of Eliza Dushku.

The weird thing is that Miranda is modeled after (and voiced by) Yvonne Strahovski, or as I like to call her, Yvonne Strahotski:

As for Ashley, I wasn't aware that she was intended to look "hot". I thought she was just plain. Which is not a bad thing.

Their race of slaves became sentient and so they didn't like that and tried to genocide them so the Geth, understandably, fought back and now they are vilified for trying to survive on the world they were created on. What utter bastards.

Also the Quarians can't possibly settle on another world 'becuase the current generation wouldn't be able to live outside our suits...'

right.

So you don't think that maybe some of you could make a sacrifice for your future generations? Or are you that selfish?

I think it's the perspective you look at it from. I am not going to give up my principles just because someone is cute, quiet and geeky...

This was covered in boths games. From Tali's point of view in the first, and the Geth's point of view in the second.

The Quarians freaked out and decided to destroy the Geth when they realised their creations had developed sentience. The Geth responded out of self defence and won convincingly. The Geth never attacked or threatened the Quarians before that, nor did they ever understand why they were initially attacked.

actually i'm not talking about Tali in particular but of her race in general.

in my opinion, the geth weren't meant to be a sentient species, they were mean as tools. Tools for dangerous work, expendable and completly impersonal.
They just got smart and they rebelled.

as always, there is no "good" side to this story. It's just the story of two species that ended up figthing each other.

neither party is in the right.all I'm saying is, I understand her anger.

My problem with both Ash and Miranda is that they come off unlikable. Ashy because she's raciest, granted her family history explains if not out right excuses that. Miranda is kinda high on herself AT THE START. She does get better but...I don't find her attractive. It's not just the face, it's that their almost throwing her tits and ass at you. Out of the new romance able Women's I like Tali and Jack the best. Tali cause she's cute, has an interesting background, and the whole 'stuck in suit' adds an air of tragedy to their romance. Though I think she should be able to link her suit enviro with the Normandy...no that wouldn't work too many biological variables...mmm...When you romance Jack it's different then any of the other romances cause she's broken. She is and romancing her is about helping her put herself back together. To try and heal some of those scars that aren't on her skin. She's an engaging character even if she is off putting at first most of her bluster is just an act. Miranda, Ash, Jacob, Kaiden. Have all come off as bland and uninteresting to me. Hopefully in ME3 they can remedy that somewhat.
