So, people were complaining that he wasn't wearing the same style clothes as the other games? Are people retarded?

Oh God, this is STILL being made? I love Rockstar but only Remedy should handle this. Is there nothing that can derail this imminent train wreck before it's too late?

Personally I don't think the older, haggard-looking Max would have been (or will be) that bad. It does add realism to the game, you can't expect someone to outrun time forever. Though it may have been a bit too much, too fast. Perhaps if his hair had been going gray rather than falling out, it would have gone over better. A few age lines to show he's had some mileage added to his ticker, and perhaps a new outfit. But yeah, the wifebeater and baldness may have been going a bit too far.

As long as he's no longer looking quizzically at everything I'm happy:

Wow, he's really constipated, from the looks of it.
The funny thing is that his face was modelled after the face of the story and script writer, Sam Lake [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Lake].

I was initially surprised with Max's new appearance and the setting relocation, but it does make sense in the context of what's happened. All the people that he cared about - Michelle, the baby, Alex Baldur and Mona Sax - died in New York. It would be weirder if his physical appearance didn't change and he stayed in New York.

I'm very interested to see how Rockstar characterises the new Max in São Paulo and what happened between the events of Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne and Max Payne 3 for this shift in location to occur. Did he resign from the NYPD in favour of private security? Or was he fired and, with his law enforcement career effectively finished, resorted to working as a bodyguard? Is he still addicted to painkillers?
